Be extremely careful about the giga’s rage. When a giga (tamed or not tamed) takes too much damage at once or gets to low health it’s eyes will glow. There’s nothing you can really do in this situation except just hide and pray. When it rages it will turn on everything, even you if it’s tamed. It’s DPS goes up to a dangerous level. While it only lasts 20 seconds that more than enough time for it to wreak havoc on you and your tames. To avoid this, I recommend building a metal sort of base with a Dino gate for your giga so enemies can’t make it rage on you, or just cryopod it if that’s available.

If you find a wild giga knock it out from a distance and don’t use your favorite bird.

Don’t even bother with trying to fight a wild one. And if you DO manage to bring enough firepower to even stand a chance, the last thing you will see are two glowing eyes as you realize your ascendant shotgun did nothing but piss it off. Just run when you see one.

If you want to kill one of these things, I would recommend getting a Quetz w/ a platform saddle and shooting it from above with some type of turret. Bring LOTS AND LOTS of ammo. Good luck!

How to kill a giga. Have a gun with a lot of bullets. Shoot in the head ( best way to kill it ). Use a bird to help you kill it or stand on a huge rock

Damn.. these are easy to tame but huge in size of a t-Rex sounds like a myth but it’s real... I tamed a level 5 with just 189 tranq arrows... I expected more... but then you need to bring like 300+ narco or.. your probably dead

If you spec for crafting and make an ascended longneck or crossbow you’ll end up using less tranqs over all in my test I wasted roughly 80 shocking tranqs and most hits weren’t headshots so if you or your tribe has the resources and a way to craft a high damage ascended crossbow or longneck then it would help tame one of these guys or any Dino that needs to be knocked out to tame as 3-4 shots to the head are enough to put down t Rex’s and gigas

Complete power house this thing is there isn’t really any other explaining for it especially the wilds ones lol, one hit and it really doesn’t matter but your armor is scrap and you might as well make your grave because these wild nightmares are a pain to deal with but easiest way to lure them away is use a high stam and speed argy and grab a wild Dino wait for it to Agro on it and dash off while it follows

The best way and the only way is to tame one is get your best gear from your 350 vaults and passive tame it with cooked fish meet this works almost all of the time

100% able to be knocked out by boomeangs! Just need a lot of them! also need at least 4 people throwing them at once to do decent torpor on them! Takes a long time too! With alot of deaths included!
