I can walk right uo to it and I won't agro it. I bet if I shoot it, it won't come after me. I'll be the first in history to have the EASIEST time taming a giga. What I can do is film it and post it under "Zuwark" on Reddit.

It is passive taming and you have to get close to it while crouching and is not aggressive whatsoever
