I went searching for 1 at lvl 64 and I had mastercraft flak and ascendant pt saddle and it 1 shot pt and killed me in 3

All there is to do is try kiting it to water to drown; hopefully there are sharks in there to help. Take a fast flyer, park in high places, when possible, to shoot it. This makes it keep chasing you. Don't let it bite you or your mount. Repeat and keep it in the water. It doesn't seem to be able to bite while submerged. Keep attacking with your mount when it's in the water so it wont turn back onto land. Best of luck.

The first time I encountered one of these asshats I was on my flying mount (Argentavis) with a Pteranodon escort. It ate us all before I had a chance to realize what happened. I was traveling with my dear sweet monkey Poogun. He was my first tame and my dearest friend. The bastard ate Poogun out of pure malice because there wasn't enough meet on him to fill its pinky toe. In an act of anger and vengeance I grabbed all of the Dimorphadons (over 50 of the winged monsters) and Raptors in my base and flew back on another argentavis with the intention of murdering the creature. The soul surviving dinosaur was the one sitting on my shoulder. Giganotosaurus ate well that day. I made poor decisions.

Run and you'll live... Or not. In all seriousness, if you aggro one, try to lead it to other Dino's or if you have a bird then fly off on that.

In the event it breaks in your base (based on recent experience) it's aggro will be hard to draw. Fighting is not recommended, a lvl 20 killed 2 low lvl Giga's, & 200+ 8 Spino's, 10 Rex's, 2 Dragon's amongst other things. If possible break open a part of base and lure it through with birds, drown it. If fighting last resort pop everything to neutral & rain down off Quetz's with arrow's or Dragon breath

I was by the blue obelisk when I found a lvl 1 giga, it had like 83k health and I thought it was a good idea to attack it with my pt R.I.P bob 😭😭😭🙏🙏 he got one tapped and I fell of the mountain tryin to run away from it and died to fall damage bob and I would make frequent trips to the north to kill mammoths and other creatures that drop pelt

Brontos rexes everything strong but not strong enough this dino is feared by all absolutely no man can encounter and survive your only hope is it gets interested by something else intelligence wont save you with this one its not bains over bronze anymore

Uh i just foking noticed that the hit box of a giga can hit you north to sourthern part of the foking island

Tried to tame one and was doing really good till our queztal glitches and got stuck in the giga and killed it and the three of us survivors.

I have seen them my pterodactyl actually can fight it but it does ridiculous damage

These things are huge compared to the Rex! And they are really fast so do not get close to them otherwise you’ll be done for :)

They now have a bleed attack, so be careful. However, you don’t get the bleed attack when you take them :( They are also pretty rare, so just watch out.

On ragnarok they are found in the highlands (spawn area N/NE)
