How to escape,

1. Never be alone always bring a tribe mate

2. If giga Agroes onto you bola your friend

3. Run for your life

On the island map you will always find one at The Frozen Fang region.

Personally I don’t take these as the rage is a stupid thing so if encountering these I recommend if your on a flyer like the astrodelphis harassment is a good

Tactical decision

If you are unlucky enough to encounter one of these monsters, get in the fetal position and hope it’s over quickly.

If you make your base on the south side of the wyvern heir nest on crystal isles and one of these bad boys spawn at your base I have no advice but to abandon all hope and let it destroy everything you own because it will kill you and everything you own unless you have something rediculesly strong (btw these things spawn south of the crystal heir nest in the desert on crystal isles so now you know where not to build or where to find one)

Be careful with giga.if hp of your dino is low, it will die in one bite

I couldnt help but laugh at all the story’s on here. I had an encounter where a gigs had his head stuck in a rock I figured well let’s see if it is actually stuck. It wasn’t but I happened to be in my 142 pter and I went to the top of the volcano and killed him with an ascendant longneck

Like the Rex, on Mobile, the Giga will not aggro on a Pteranodon unless attacked or provoked in any way. I study them all the time, just stay on the others and yu’ll be fine 😉

Most beginners are horrified by a giga, but they are hardly the most dangerous thing in the game.

If your on mobile and want to get easy levels, get an explorer note and a crossbow with a grapple, if you grapple on to the giga it cant hit you and u can kill it if you have a decent sword, aim the grapple at the hind hips of the giga, i killed one with hard brutal and it was level 365, took a few minutes and i got 4 levels which is a lot for the difficulty i was on and i was on level 53

They dont attack tamed titanosaurs anymore (they used to) so your completely safe on a titanosaur

Me: Woah, that’s a giga! I’m gonna tame it.

*Looks it up, finding that it’s way too expensive.*

Me: Welp, it’s a tad close to my base. I’m gonna divebomb it and kill it.

*Divebombs and gets bit.*

Me: Holy... half my argy’s health is gone. I’ll be careful next time.

*Continues to divebomb, and both argy and I become his snacc.*

Me: No! Raven! Nooooo!

*Grabs bary and goes to retrieve stuff.*

Moral of the story: don’t mess with dangerous stuff. Especially the giga. You’ll save yourself a ton of time, effort, and stuff avoiding these overgrown-megalizards.

Take a quick look and then run

If it says dangerous creatures nearby don't try to find out what just run. I lost my level 50 bear while flying off a mountain he died while giga was chasing us. I died shortly after since i was firing every weapon i owned due to anger. I went back on my lowest level argy (i had some decent stuff i needed that didn't stay when i died) if memory is correct i died again. We will meet again giga until then you live not sure on level though since i play on easy and casual. But yet i seen a 116 lvl yeti 💩 myself

The thing is you uhh you don't tame this thing you call Animal Control for no reason and you have an entire team of Animal Control be killed when only you had to be killed don't sacrifice Animal Control just to escape this thing cuz it won't matter he will chase u after he kills the Animal Control team.

Don’t fight this thing head on.

To kill this thing without a (heavily mutated) giga of your own, you’ll need one of the following:

1. A ranged attacker such as a wyvern or velonasaur and a way to prevent the giga from reaching you.

2. A trap and some rather disposable allos and/or deinonychus.

3. A large gang of dinos bred for killing bosses, such as rexes.

4. Turret death wall

5. (Arguably easiest way) A large patch of water to lure it out to. Gigas never learned how to swim. Bonus points if you add sharks to make it bleed and die even faster.

on ark mobile, if ur transporting ur giga long distanced, have a revival platform and eerie element, and then chronicle the giga, fly (or swim) to the destination, place a revival platform, and revive the giga. (costs 2 amber)

Don’t let your pteroanodon get hit once by these for a joke. Because if gets 3 hits on a max level it destroys it.
