To the person say they will use a quetz with a platform saddle to tame it’s almost impossible to tame with out a trap, I’ve tried and failed so many times.

To trap it make a bear trap in for dinosaur gates, place three of the dinosaur gates in a square shape with one of the sides missing then placed the bear trap inside the square after that, lead the giga in side of the square through the empty side on towards the bear trap, and then fill in that side with the last dinosaur gate, and then knock it out how you see fit (best with a good long neck and shocking tranq darts) feed it either superior kibble, mutton, or prime meat. Make sure to have a good amount of narcotics if the taming a slow on your server, then you got yourself a giganotosaurus

If you are making a trap don't build it near rocks, I was making a trap but halfway the giga would not walk over rocks smaller than it

I will say this about a giga if you miss a shot you will use way more than recommend to knock it out and you better put bio toxin (personal favorite I think it works better than narco) in inventory fast as its torpor will deplete quickly

Giga Taming First get Quetzal egg Kibble next go to a mountain there are four mountains where it lives after that get shocking tranquilizer darts and longneck then get on some thing like a raptor out run it are you doing this pelt it with shocking tranquilizer darts after it falls asleep make sure it stays asleep with narcotics or Biotoxin i’m feeding the kibble after that you have a new giga it’s saddle can be made at level 98.

The hardest part is not just finding one or knocking out this thing, but also keeps this guy unconscious is a challenge, it's gonna be a biggest mistake if you don't bring the taming food for this guy because their torpor drain rate is extremely high and only last about 2 minutes or even less.

So make sure you've prepared everything you going to need in order to tame this guy.

The easiest trap for this guy is 4 metal dinosaur gates and place it into square shape but don't place the last gate. Once you're done bring up your mount such as flyer or fast land runner and take a little closer to the giga, or just shoot him if you're using land mount. Once he's agroing to you, run straight into the trap and just don't look behind because he's really fast. After he's trapped dismount from your mount beside of the trap and prepare for placing the last gate on foot. You can use large bear trap for this guy and its just make everything much safer.

37 meat last around 14 min on a baby giga

37 meat / 14 min means they eat around 2.6 meat per min

54 meat last around 21 min on a baby giga

54 meat / 21 min means they eat around 2.57 meat per min

This is based on my own study on the food consumption on a giga. But it's a good thing to have as a guideline. Did teat this when raising 24 giga where I did not feed 1 of them tonsee how long the food last in its inventory.

If your taking a giganotosaurus to the snowy area, Be careful. They get stuck very easily in the small ice near the waterfall. They are taller than the water, so they can’t float and make the small jumps that other dinosaurs do.
