Tips & Strategies

Since the nerf, ive gotten 2 that are complete garbage. My rex could take them both. I dint think theyre worth it unless you can breed them to get rly good stats.

Beware Gigas get nerfed once tamed so if tame try taming a lvl 140+ or whatever is max lvl wild spawn in your server a 20 giga have around 80 k health in wild and will one shot your dinos but once tamed will be reduced to 17k health and superless attributes like 400 stamina which is total shit
It is a big dinosaur so there you go that is a tip
He t h i c c
He s t r o n k
But most importantly
He a n g y
Fun facts if you want to know more about the giganotosaurus!
-Gigas can be found in moutain-like areas on many of Ark's maps. They have a saddle unlock at level 96.
-To tame them, you must knock it out. This is very tricky, as they can destroy stone and do hundreds of damage per bite.
-Wild gigas have 80,000 health, while tame ones have only around 18,000 health. Becuase of this, it is NOT recommended to fight a wild giga with a tamed giga.
-Gigas have a rage meter that fills up whenever it takes too much damage in a certain time period. When enraged, it will dismount you and will attack everything around it, including you.
-They are one of the few creatures you cannot take into boss arenas. However, this does not apply to Extinction's titans, as they have open-world arenas.
That's all! Up if this was helpful.
If your falling off a cliff just simply dismount and he won't rage up on you, good luck fellow survivors
Dont try do cross a large sum of water it will lose stamina and drown. RIP Doomsday 348lvl
They should make ballista Trank arrows for this thing
If only we had tek gigas in the wild, I saw the name gigabyte which would've been perfect
Honestly, I would just tame a charcharodontosaurus. Gigas are hard to tame, and a low level giga after taming it has crappy stats. It also has no special attacks! All it has is a roar that does nothing and a chomp that does practically nothing. On the other hand, the charchar has a blood rage effect that boosts healing and damage, And a blood frenzy that increases speed. It also has a tail spin and roar that speeds up nearby tames. And itβs relatively easy to tame too. So I would just tame a charchar instead of wasting all those tranq arrows and darts on a giga.
Sincerely, The King of Reapers.
Great early game tame, however beware of dodos when riding around on one
