Your best bet is to get a griffin and knock it out I tamed a lvl 219 like that still some of my griffins died

Instead of the famous large bear trap and 4 metal gates you can use metal fences and place one wall 3 high on 3 sides but on on the back of the giga place a metal door on the top (instead of the 3rd wall up) and once the giga is in open the door to the inside of the trap and giga cant escape. (If you found it hard to understand then I cant help🤷‍♂️) I have tried it and it works well 👍👍

Yeah let this guy with his friends and other dinosaur friends while tamed and on pvp servers make sure you have a tek shield up if you can learn it on the map your on also make sure you have turrets in and outside the shield if the turrets and shield fail you need to have backup turrets

These should be able to pick stuff up

Tho that would make it the most OP dinosaur in the game rather then the stuff it can pick up wich the stuff I would want it to be able to pick up is anything smaller then it but not it's own kind.

ok we were taming one and it was almost tamed at 58 % ,full of narcotics and we got attacked by something and it just woke up and killed my team mate??? anyone know why this would happen

I once lost my giga on a mountain..after awhile I found out that I’m not able to tp her back. So I went on a short mission to find her, I found her and she was on the mountain I left her on..gosh that scared me

IF YOU HAVE GOD OR ADMIN CONSOLE in your solo and want to easily tame this awesome creature, I would recommend not completing the hunt giga quest so you can use that to find it. Note that you will have to be within at lease 1 km for the tracking to render. Once you find a giga, if you have a flyer or other tame, park it on a ledge and if using god/admin infinite ammo with shocking tranq it out. Then once it is out and you most likely didn’t bring prime, put regular meat and go kill an argentavis for prime. Once you have enough prime, speed up to 400%. To level up a better giga, when the giga is unconscious put bio tox in its inv and feed it a lot of bio toxin. This will allow you to level the giga without it waking up due to the levels taking torpo from the giga. This method will allow you to get infinite levels. That is how you effectively and quickly tame a giga using god/admin console. Thank you.

If you encounter this on solo player bola yourself and run!!!.

If you encounter one in an argie fly as fast as you can. And to attack one be up one a ledge with a lot of ammo.

Gigas will be wild when they are at half health.

If ur a big tribe carry one in a cryo that is neutered or spayed so u have a pocket giga if u die they can’t breed them so it’s just for pvp at that point

These things take 555 tranqs at level 130 they also use around 200 narcotics and lots of prime meat be carfull

Warning punching the giga with a fist is not a one hit flee, at least not for the giga

The wise proverb that exists in ark is that: “When two elephants fight, (or in this case Giga v Titano) it is the grass that suffers. I saw it all happen. No joke. I saw a literal trail of corpses in the redwoods. Gallis, terror birds, diplos, brontos etc. I harvested all them. Took almost a minute along with the helping of my spino, moschops, argy and sarcos.

I look for a giga ready to tame: No giga

Not looking for a giga: OH DANG IT A GIGA

To tame it just make the classic trap, place 3 metal behemoth gates in a square shape, keep some space inbetween them to shoot from the outside, then place 1 or 2 large bear traps in the middle of the three, make sure to make the trap on a flat area, open one of the gates (it doesn't matter wich one) and lure the giga into the trap, a pteranodon should be enough to do this, make sure to hit the giga at least one, i recommend aiming at the tail otherwise you'll get destroyed with 1 bite, onche the guga enter the trap, it will be caught by a bear trap, you have a few seconds to close the gates then beggin shooting and have a lot of patienece, stay away from the trap, something like 30 m should be safe.

If you play on mobile go to the lava cave at the southeast of the island and tribute the artifact of the massive until you have an ascendant rifle with at least 1000 damage, with this rifle you'll knock out the giga a lot faster and with less darts and you don't have the risk of the rifle breaking mid-taming, also go to the cave at the south of the island to get some soothing balm.

A lvl 150 without soothing balm and ascendant rifle will take more than 500 darts, it will break at least 1 rifle and will take more than 50 prime meat, that's a damn lot of brontos even with a high level rex, and mot of the prime meat will also spoil so you'll have to keep an eye on the giga very often, it will become anoying if the taming is far away from your base, and the giga will also need more than a whole hour to tame, also the tamimg efficiency will decrease and your giga will lose some levels.

if you have an ascendant rifle and soothing balm a lvl 150 won't take more than 200 darts, it will fall asleep a lot faster, it will only need like 6 prime meat, you can get that from a few brontos, stegos or mamoths in less than 5 minutes, it will take a few minutes to tame and the taming efficiency won't go lower than 98% if you take care of it.

Also be sure and I mean 100% sure that you have AT LEAST 1 entire stack of biotoxin (500) or a bunch of stacks of narcotics (at least 1000) in the case of a high level giga. I personally prefer biotoxin, it's easy to farm if you have a good crossbow or pike, even a sword works pretty well.

The second most powerful and largest creature in ARK: Mobile the "Giga" is a ferocious and savage creature that kills anything within its range ANYTHING except Titanosoures. If you like to tame one then prepare well before going in cause once your in then there is no going back ALIVE.
