Best way to tame a giga (maybe) Make a trap looking like this with 4-5 metal METAL gateways. Put a bear trap in the middle, and bring a quetz with 10k+ health. Lead the giga to trap, while you probably will be bitten by giga. Wait until it gets stuck in bear trap, and if I didn’t mention BRING AN EQUUS TO RUN AROUND IT. But get on ur equus, and make sure it can’t hit you, but put a gate or 2 behind it. Then knock it out with mastercraft or ascendant crossbow or longneck, or compound bow with toxicant arrows. Then, bring 10x balm and quetz kibble 1-30 and simply tame. I hope you tame that giga you wanted! And I hope this would be helpful.

One way to avoid its torpor dropping down, wait for it to go about halfway down, then spam feed the thing about 400 narcotics and the torpor dropping will stop while the narcotics are raising it back up.

If you find a low level giga and if you have a friend or two you can build a 4x4 stone box that is 3 walls high (use door frames for shooting it) and a ramp up one side (credits to Tecorsuh on YouTube for the trap idea) you and your friend(s) can use crossbows with tranquilizer arrows to knock it out. I’d recommend each person taking one primitive crossbow with 100 tranquilizer arrows. After the giga is knocked out (do make sure you have plenty of narcotics as the giga’s torpor drops at an alarming rate) just give it raw prime meat or regular raw meat. I was going on a hike with my mate to get some crystal I was on my lvl 109 stego he was on his lvl 40 ankylo I saw it I said there's a giga or a rex he died to it and I somehow killed it with 2k health left keep in mind my stego had 22k and it was lvl 12

Keep it in a separate enclosure from other tames because if the giga goes into rage mode it will kill everything.

Best way to tame is get a wyv make it follow you bring tranqs get off wyv while above giga and just shoot with tranqs

Put level at 9999 and taming speed at .01 and it will take 4.3 years to tame this sucka

Use a griffin and shoot off it’s back best works with tribe mate and two griffins , be aware you will need a lot of stam on Griffin

I will try to tame one with tapejara and ascendant rifle (tranque darts), ascendant gives 1000+ torpor per one shot = about 90 shots

If you see this in the wild just except your fate you will never be able to kill it lol

Another way to do this:you are on a side of a mountain and you have large bear traps. Go to the bottom and place them all down scattered. Shot the giga and runs right at you and goes in the trap. Then you need boi toxic tranqs (about 200 just in case) and any type of long neck rifles

I laugh at you people that waste your time using narcotics when this beast losses so much torpor, so fast that only the duration of the torpidity rising is what is going to stop the torpidity from falling. In short you could just use 3,000 narcoberries (probably all you need) and keep his torpor rising for 2 hours and don’t have to give a care for the Giga during that time. He looses like 100 torpor per second, so brewing the narcotics is only effective when the creature unconscious loses torpor slower than other Dinos and you need to bring up its torpor a crazy amount. Do what I do and use even just a parasaur to harvest a bunch of berrie. P.S. love parasaurs for life :)
