If these things are not on mobile then why does it have a preferred mobile kibble?

These guys weight stat is insane i tamed a level 145 and it came out with 5k weight. All that to say, its great for metal runs

For the people wondering where they spawn on genesis 2, it spawns on the north side of the eden zone(The Green zone). It's kinda rare but they do spawn

Put this on a quetzal platform and load it up with weight and the quetz can’t feel the weight. Gasbags is the only tame that doesn’t add weight to a quetzal platform when standing on it.

Farm lamps with doed on quetz and have your rider load the goods onto the gasbags.

Whoever said gasbags spawn in crystal isles, they don’t. That is probably a modded thing. Just to clear things up for people.

If pure tanking power is tanking into account, this thing is second to none. Just like Rock Elementals, the Gasbags has a 80% damage reduction from almost everything (as long as it is at least partly inflated). The Gasbags, however, is much easier to tame, can be bred and has a saddle which is not that hard to find at all. Their smaller hitbox is welcome when using Velonasaurs and guns from behind them as well.

The only downside is their low damage, and also that they can't damage stone (and turrets), so don't expect to raid entire bases with it alone.

When damaged, a bit of gas will escape, so unmounted ones might find themselves taking full damage after a while. If mounting is not a option, be sure to put it on Neutral from time to time so it will inflate by itself as part of the attack behavior.

You can use a harpoon launcher with net projectile to keep these still whilst you knock them out.

If you kill one you can make a delivery crate and send it to any coordinates on the map, which is great if your inventory is full or just want to get a cryopoded tame to your base.

You can even jump on the crate as it flies away and use it as a blimp to het you back home!

Use 4 Dino gateways in a square formation with 3 doors attached, eat rare flowers and get it to follow you into the trap, as soon as it’s inside the trap stick the last set of doors on and I will be trapped inside there, it can rotate but haven’t had one jump out yet, it doesn’t even try to 👌🏼😊

Be careful they take fall damage.Thr more you ascend or use air control, the more air you lose, thus it will hit the ground and die. You have been warned. . .

Things you need to know about the Gasbag:

-They are good at soaking turrets when inflated as they come with great damage reduction. Just back up into the enemy turret range, tank, come back, inflate again, repeat.

-Gasbags are very good at traversing the map, but they can still take fall damage, so be careful.

-Lastly, they have very high carry weight meaning they can store all your metal, stone and obsidian.

They do NOT need a saddle to be ridden but the saddle they do have fits 2 people.

Get about 1,000 gas on this thing (it will take around 13,000 ox) and then put everything else into movement speed, and you'll have just about the fastest living thing in the game. It actually effects how fast you fly too, and around 160 the only thing faster then you will be a skiff if you're a skilled enough flyer. Get one up to 200 or so and you'll never want to use another flyer for travel again. Anything else will just feel like it's moving in slow motion.

To tame this guy, I froze it with a snow owl and placed 4 wooden billboards around it. Then, I placed a thatch foundation and 3 thatch doorways up, then thatch roofs so it couldn’t jump out.

Kept deflating it by freezing it. It was really awkward because it kept inflating again immediately, but I just kept doing it and eventually it stopped inflating itself all the time.

When you are carrying a gasbag with a quetzal it takes wayyyyy more tranq darts then dodo dex says. It took around 110 darts for a lol 145. Was worth it but good thing i brough extra gear.

It doesn't break wood. To trap it use 4 dino gates, 2 wood doors, and a large bear trap, I think that this is the easiest way to tame a gasbags.

Increase oxygen for more air time, has great base weight to use as a pack mule. Can also craft on them, so far all I can craft is the Enforcer, but I don't have a saddle yet.
