No, idiots, forcetame is not needed to tame this creature. Stop being bad at the game and actually play it.
You break the corrupted nodes on its shoulders and then its chin to knock it out, and then claim it with E key. This is the second easiest titan to tame solo, as the desert titan is a joke and can be tamed with one quetzal with a platform saddle, and the ice titan is one of the most miserable tames in the game. Use weapons like compound bows and guns to break the nodes.
PS: I glitched the forest titan once by trying to push it off the cliff on its arena using a quetzal (on singleplayer). It just stood there and stopped attacking me, letting me dismount right in front of it and break the nodes with no resistance. Unsure if this glitch has been patched (itβs Wildcard, so probably not), but it did make the titan a ridiculously easy tame.

Pro tip: Don't use explosive weaponry and really bad rexes with no saddles like the devs did. Fab Snipers for taming it with little/no collateral damage, actually decent rexes + imprint + saddles to kill it
Try to hit the coropted glowing things around his body. Ice you have destroyed all, it should fall down on the ground knocked out. You do not need any taming food for it, Just go up to it and click tame to tame it. No need to build a saddle because it already comes with one.

I Watched this on YouTube. They are two big glowing orbβs on itβs shoulders. Destroy those and one more Will appear under its chin. Destroy that and you have A Forest titan for the next five hours. You have to do something to the server to make it a permanent tame. Hope this was helpful! π
Whoever asked if it is a boss the answer is yes, all titans excluding the king Titan are tameable by destroying the corrupted nodes on its body you can do so by shooting the corrupted parts
