This boys are the best carriers to farm resources in mid game.

You can put a magmasaur in a criopod, take it to a local with lots of metal/cristal/obsidian, collect everything you want. Then, drop all the resources in a bag, aim at the bag with the hawk in your shoulder, press double F to throw it in the bag and quickly ride your flyer and go to your base. The hawk will follow you with all the resources in the bag.

Just remember the flyer must be faster than the hawk, otherwise it will reach you and drop the bag.

So I tried using the tamed Ovis trick, but for some reason even after killing my “sacrificial lamb”, none of the Fjordhawks would go for it. Though through a test, they went for the wild ones instead. Any thoughts? (This is on Xbox console btw).

These are pretty hard to tame but if you bring a lot of ovis, you can kill them and let the fjordur hawk eat it. Ovis are the best creature to use for this tame.

Idk if I’m the first to say this, but the fjordhawk can be used for every egg type, not just wyvern. Rock drakes, magmas, ect.

Steal the eggs it would make sense tho

Keep the ones you want to tame alive and kill others because it will take you too much time to tame the one you want because others are eating corpses.

Use a high level Ovis. Mine took 3-4 bites and boom insta tamed. And it didn’t drop that much in taming effectiveness

I hope you don’t need to drag fish to it like another bird.

If you die, when you respawn fjordhawk will fly off with as many of your belongings as it can carry. Then it will track you down and return your equipment to you! How cool is that!

People, you must tame this it can give you your inventory when you die

When you are travelling between beds, move into an open area to wait for your fjordhawk’s arrival. This will keep the hawk from dropping your bag into tough-to-get-to places (building roofs, tek generators, tek troughs, etc ). I had to break ceilings and a cliff platform to get my bag recently.

Slaughter imprinted ovis. it will black box them, and infinite tame.

They take your death bag if you die. I mean the wild ones when I say that. Wear stuff to keep you good from the cold, bring food, and try not to die.

If you die in a cave, for some reason, probably due to the cave load, the hawk won't return your gear.

To tame you need to breed sheep. Bring like 2 or 3 in cryopods to wherever you are going to tame them. Kill near the fjordhawk and boom, You'll never lose your items again. They'll die if you get swarmed by wyverns though

If you go into a Fire Wyvrn trench and get killed, there is a good chance your hawk will be killed too. I lost a cryod monster giga and some very high level tek armor. Boo-hoo-hoo

It has been patched, it can now return ur stuff every 1hours. Pretty useless tbh

Careful not to get mixed up with other Fjordhawk that might be flying around as multipulte will follow you making it a little hard to keep track of the one you want lol

Buff it’s weight so it can get all of your stuff

Good idea:

When tame just lvl up the weight until it is equal or a little bigger than yours. Then only up speed and stamina until you upgrade weight so it have the same weight as you and can always carry all your stuff when u die!
