What are tips for fjordhawk? Tips and strategies for fjordhawk in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
I think they should be big (bigger than the biggest shoulder mount) but they should still be able to be on ur shoulder. So cool!! Btw I think this is the first tip….

I recommend using 6 sheep

Having trouble feeding the ravenous appetite of this glorified pigeon? Ovis are the answer! On Fjordur, large flocks of Ovis will sometimes spawn on the plateau west of the Redwoods (but beware, sometimes Carcha and Gigas will too!), and taming these sheep is a piece of cake— Sweet Vegetable Cake, to be exact!
Even a handful of high-health Ovis will make taming Fjordhawks a breeze, because the higher the health of an Ovis, the longer they’ll feed a Fjordhawk. Just make sure you have a campfire ready, because once you tame your hawk, they’re going to be carrying a LOT of raw mutton.
Good tame and all but really really annoying when they follow you and a constant blur of colours AND ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR TRYING TO GET A PT SADDLE AND THEY KEEP EATING THE DEAD CREATURES AND AHHHHHHH!!!! But.. good creatures other than that. The end I hope you liked what I wrote above this there.
Why you should put it on passive when you die and it gets your stuff: if a hostile entity, for example a therizino was what killed you when your hawk goes to get stuff it won’t attack the therizino, go straight for the stuff and probably have a smaller chance of dying rather than fighting and taking more damage and then a raptor comes along afterwards… and does the finishing touch but on passive the hawk would take less damage and just fly away from danger- I had to learn that the hard way -James ( have a good day!)
Feed Fjordhawks a ovis because they are one of the best ways to tame them
Hands down, the best shoulder pet if you're the type to run into danger with no plan...leeeeeeroyyy jenkinssss style!
Had a plan, deep dive for oil with my hawk pet and "Flipper" (set to passive and not following, smart right?)...that's it, that's all the planning...got electrocuted on the first run. Crap.... recovered corpse and found my hawk, flipper isn't dead but zero clue where it went....jumped on my frog, "Frogette' for a rescue and tried again...yep, that's right fried again. Now I'm 2 water tames down and hawk is gone.....was able to rescue the beast frog and my 2nd corps but no loot.....no hawk in site. Ran to base and "lil bird" (yeah, I'm not a creative namer) was chilling next to the bed with my bag of loot.....best shoulder pet, otter is good, but hawk will bring back your stuff!!
This has to be the most USEFUL tame to have if you’re prone to getting yourself eaten by a pack of raptors or ambushed by troodons. No matter how far you are away from your stuff when you die it will bring it back to you and just teleport, I’d call it a must have tame for beach bobs.
Once a fjordhawk starts feeding, a net gun will cause loss of taming.
Well follow you when you are weak, and can track wild liw health dinos
tame ovis, put all levels into health
breed them
cyro them
find a hawk
kill sheep and feed hawk🙏🏻
once tamed. Just put on all your points on Weight and health, because you don’t want this thing dead after you die since it can retrieve your inv for you, and i can tell this thing gonna be good asf. Especially for Pve for
pvp gonna be eh since they gonna shot the birb down.
I was just running on a killing spree when I saw I somehow tamed a fjordhawk
Wyvern fire is a good way to kill things and still have them count for fjordhawk taming even though you’re on a mount! Make sure to use your sanguine elixir too.
If your server lets you, try placing a wooden cage over one of these guys when it lands to eat, and then dragging bodies to it and holding them up against the bars- that’s how I got my first.
Syntac made a bid on this check it out
Built a large kill room and managed to get a hawk stuck in it and then brought her 20 parasaurs and phiomias I had managed to tame. Worked pretty well.
These creatures make the game way easier.
It can retrieve your stuff when you die, and show icons on top of creatures, such as how much health it has left, or if it is dead.
They also make obtaining wyvern eggs extremely easier thanks to Syntac (ARK Youtuber), he does it by having a fjordhawk on your shoulder, go to a wyvern trench and find an egg, quickly grab the wyvern egg, and eat organic polymer.
Soon the fjordhawk will retrieve your stuff, they also have unlimited weight.
