It will most likely be found circling you. Don't worry it will only attack if you are low. They are scavengers. They like playing fetch with you and they will return with as many items as it can carry when you die. It's basically a flying dog. Can't wait to tame one.

I mean, this bird will probably hurt you sense it is way bigger than modern birds of prey. (PS, they modeled it after the red-tailed hawk from real life, but they gave it a crest)

Wife figured out if your holding/drag the body of the animal you kill you get better taming effectiveness at least it worked for her. As if your hand feeding it hope this helps everyone.

If you dont want other fjordhawks stealing the corpse kill them if they come close because they wont stop following you

I think its somewhat like the sinomacrops feed it, it flies off, comes back then feed it again but with meat or fish mostly raw meat. It would be cool if it would incubate eggs when it has babies,u come feed it once in a while, sometimes it asks u for materials to rebuild its nest until the eggs hatch(idk that's just my idea🤐)

It’s two main uses:

1: when you die, it will retrieve your items and bring them to you when you have respawned.

2: it can locate creatures on low health, so you can get meat.

I cannot wait to tame one! It looks like it's going to be a very useful tame in the game

It should fit through doors and literally anything

The hawks are around 80 40 they fly around you and don’t attack you

If you die around a wild hawk they will pick up your stuff and you’ll have to find them and kill them in order to retrieve your belongings.

I learned the hard way that these are NOT immune to radiation, even while mounted on your shoulder. Mine died within 30 seconds of being in the rock drake cave on Fjordur.

CAUTION!! It can only retrieve your items according to the weight it can carry. Meaning you may only get some or most of your items back.

The rock elemental trick is fixed. Just tested it

This thing is so awesome. Literally died running the Magmasaur cave and when I respond at my base it was instantly there. Like holy heck talk about teleporting

These creatures cant apparently be picked up by anything, can't be affected by bolas , and they can only fit through dinosaur gates so i expect that they might be quite big. They can also ‘sense’ prey / dinos that is injured for you (if tamed.) If its a wild Fjordhawk and you are quite injured, it will attack you if it think it will be able to kill you, unless you have strong armour. They will also eat /scavenge Injured or Dead dinos. They also will retrieve your items when you die, not all of your items tho. But it will retrieve as much as it can carry (when tamed.) I hope this helped you understand better about the Fjordhawk before its released. :)

2nd tip! It can locate injured targets

On PVE tamed/bred Ovis leveled in hp pushing 3-5k will tame hawks quicker in tandem with desmodus elixir. On 3x I was taming lvl 50s on one sheep at 5k. Hope this helps.
