Use beds as TPs for your stuff. When you fast travel having the hawk on your shoulders it brings your stuff for you. Tested a few times.

First one to do this!

It can retrieve your items when you die.

It has UNLIMITED weight, so Black box yourself with metal or any other resource, eat a piece of poly or fast travel with a sleeping bag, spawn back at base and you are done.

Use them to steal wyvern eggs.

Just grab an egg with a hawk on your shoulder, die to a wyvern and it will bring your stuff (with the egg) back to you!

They make getting Wyvern eggs the easiest thing in ark…

Just go into the trench with one on your shoulder grab an egg and the eat some organic polymer! Boom you have a wyvern egg!

It’s a shoulder pet that can bring you your item cache and save you from death loops, it can also Scout ahead and warn you of danger

Not only does it retrieve your items if you die (everything - IF it can handle the weight!) but it can fetch bags for you!! On Xbox, double tap Y with the bag in your line of sight and Fjordhawk will retrieve it for you. It will highlight bags with a little icon of a skull and crossbones in a black circle that pulses.
