How to tame a Fjordhawk.

It's pretty easy if you know how. I am currently taming one. This includes a way to trap them.

1. Build a house

2. Find a hawk

3. Kill a dodo or lystro

4.drag the dodo in the house

5.stay still and let the fjordhawk come in

6. Close the door

7. Feed it more dodos or hatch eggs in the house

8. Congrats on your fjordhawk

Just for a gauge with Ovis. They may work really well, but a max level (150) will take somewhere between 15-18 ovis. The time it takes between each corpse decreases taming effectivness. This is time consuming on pvp due to cryo cool down. But , for best results, I would suggest getting all of your ovis out and ready before you begin to slaughter them.

Tamed Ovis are a great way to tame these birds, tame an Ovis pump it's health and then kill it in front of the birds

For low lvls just kill fat, passive creatures. How I got mine. Worked pretty good

Everyone was really worried about the fact that the Fjordhawk could only carry so much, but they can carry more than you’d think! You won’t need to worry too much about some stuff being left behind!!!

Easy day 1 taming. Tame Phiomia, or even Gacha, quick and easy separate the Hawk you want to tame. And then pike your tames. Dont use OVIS. Not only is it less taming progress than Phiomia, you waste mutton.

I heard from Rassclark that the best way to tame them is using rock golems as their bodies are not consumed quickly.

Most of the creatures I’ve encountered here have endured thanks to their great size, strength, or ferocity. But the fjordhawk gets by on its wits and by scavenging. The bird also seems to have an almost preternatural ability to predict and avoid danger. Fjordhawks follow predators (and survivors) from on high, watching for their moment to swoop in and snatch up an easy meal.

Domesticated

Tamed fjordhawks are surprisingly playful, and their favorite game is fetch. Indulge your bird with this play and a bit of patience, and you’ll reap the rewards. Just point out a target, and your fjordhawk will fly off to retrieve it for you. A well-trained fjordhawk can locate injured prey and communicate its find to you. These clever birds will bond with humans as wholeheartedly as any canine or primate, in a way uniquely suited to this time and place. If you should meet with some grave misfortune, your fjordhawk will immediately fly off with as many of your belongings as it can carry. As soon as you’re respawned by the ARK, your friend will track you down and return your equipment to you!

It can scout enemy’s on low health

This will be so useful hope it’s easy to get cuz it can get your items when you die

If you tame this Hawk take it with you at all times when you die he will collect your items and bring them back to you

If u have one following you, kill something then have it swoop down to eat, then kill it. As far as I have found that’s the only way besides hitting it with a Andrew. U don’t want one to be following you cuz it will kidnap ur stuff if u die….

They can teleport you all over the map. On PlayStation you hold square to access it.

Make sure to eat poly or jump in lava when getting wyren eggs so ur hawk dont die poor sally😭😭😭😭😭one up 🆙 is one prayer for sally

Do not try to harvest resources around any of these birds! They will take the corpse and anything from it before you can retrieve anything for yourself.

If there are any Fjordhawks in the area you are in, kill or tame them before harvesting resources from any dinos.

U can still use golem u just have to kill something and drag it to the golem

How do you effectively tame these guys bc my husband and I have tried for 4 days with 0 luck. We've culled half the island we're on and nothing. The tame goes down or more new hawks show up.
