To catch just make small box trap to have them follow you into, feed element, walk out door, wait till small, repeat till tamed.

When breeding they need max addiction level for breeding and only as small form, no crossing or breeding larger.

Food for each mainly element for triggering growth and making it last longer, for trough feeding, meat while large (looks carnivorous anyway), berries for the fuzzy buddy, nuts them up super quick.

Good for temp on shoulder or while ridden, only downside is need of element for the transformation and taming.

Fun ride while large and if you do not use cryo pods, a great extra killer, especially great in caves because it also clings and jump/climbs, oh and the coolest is the rockthrow.

Use grappling Hook and element to tame it.

Go in ice cave in Genesis 1 and feed him with element and when he rage grapple fast.

But kill all the bears in the cave First.

It also works with a trap.

Tamed my first ferox. it was easy using a shadowmane and saved a bunch of resources making a grappling hook. All I did was feed it and during the ferox transformation I quickly hopped on the shadowmane and went invisible. The ferox was clueless

Just so that all and anyone who decide to tame a ferox,they sometimes need to be fed 2 element at a time to procede in taming.

So you can bola them on angery form

Easiest way to tame feed it then freeze with snow owl once it transforms keep it frozen for about 30 seconds it will turn nack to tiny mode then repeat until tamed

How To Tame

1: build a large trap with dinosaur gates and made of tek.

2: find one.

3: lure one into the trap with element.

4: make it big boi/girl

5 : close the gate.

6: run and wait for it to turn back into lil mode

7: repeat the process

8 Boom you just got a Ferox

You can tame it with element up to 70%, then you use the desmodus elixir to raise the last 30%, so you dont waste element and tame it more quikly

Sometimes when u feed them element they will duplicate which can be good if you've found a good lvl female

I tamed one with a Shadowmane. Just go invisible after feeding it and it doesnt see you, make sure to be a little bit further from it.

On Fjordur you can use Desmodus to tame it. Just kill bears and wolves, give him element and fly around him, when he's in angry form.

***Submitted 30 March 2020. Takes a lot more element than Dodoex says. On official Xbox x3 taming a level 125 ferox took around 22 element to tame. Worked out at just under 5% tame bar per feed. Make sure to use a bola once the ferox has enraged to hold it still. If you use it while ferox is small it won’t work.***

Go to the ferrox cave and bring a grappling hook and crossbow feed the element to the ferrox then grapple to the ceiling of the cave and wait until it turns small again rinse and repeat

What do they eat after tamed I've had some die because I didn't know what to feed them?

When it duplicates it also keeps taming progress

Bring a lot more element than it says or the tame might not complete

When you feed it element, if you are in the cave, you can use a grapple and get to the top of the cave while the Ferox rages and then you can drop back down to keep feeding it!
