As of 2 July, 2022, they eat meat. I just spent a few minutes panicking because it ate all its seeds in the span of a few seconds and I saw they eat meat so I tried it. They DO EAT MEAT

If you want one of these, be prepared. They exist in areas around the Spine and beyond. There are Seekers, there are Nameless. If these don’t get you, then the Reaper Queen will surely get you. Not recommended for solo players who aren’t prepared for the worst. Bring your best and be prepared for anything. Zip lines, charge lanterns and batteries, light Dinos, guns. You name it, and it’s recommended to bring.

Just don’t bring your battle Bulbdog. I still mourn the loss of Pugbert. RIP

When raising it eats meat! You would think berries nope plain old raw meat happy Raising!

Even though it eats mushrooms to tame, it eats meat afterwards. Makes very cute chirps!

It seems that a lot of people are focusing on featherlights in Abberration, but they also spawn on Crystal Isles, Valguero, and Genesis :)

On crystal isles while trying to find this guy you’ll encounter a tremendous amount of carnos seekers scorpion and pulova oh and arthropleura aswell. Take a tank with you.

To the person from 2022 asking how these aren’t an early game tame, well now they are surprisingly!, I mean , if you have a pteranodon on Fjordur and go to the swamp to quickly gather some auric mushrooms for them, and fly out and go to the small aberration cave that requires no hazard suit all you have to do is find a Featherlight,

and hope there’s no rock drakes near it, ( They spawn in there as well as Ravagers, Megalosaurs,Scorpions

idk about anything else dangerous, that’s all I’ve seen that attack, unless you count roll rats that attack if you steal their gems

If you are on The Island server and you need to feed a baby featherlight, fill its inventory with raw meat and NOT berries or it'll die.

The cave where the artifact of the stalker is, is full of them. Quite easy to find high levels there instead of walking around on the red zone area. Cave entrance is at 81.4 48.2. Come with a good rock drake to make the thing easier. The best part of the cave is that, unless on got attacked they don’t move so you just have to feed them. Hazard suit is necessary
