Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a equus? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a equus.
If you are struggling to keep them from dying/running off then pick them up with an argy and put them in a pen.
Its quiet easy to tame them
Step:1
Kill all dangerous animals including spino, rex, therzenio, etc .from a safe spot where they can't reach you or see you, also wear a gillie suit or better
Step:2
Try trapping it,if you
have the necessary time and resources
Or
Step:3
get a major soothing balm, the one with 10× taming boost through the free gift on mobile or other ways
Step:4
Sneak and approach it and apply the soothing balm then mount it and sooth it with a rococarrot,it should take 1-7 mins depending on the creature's level and the terrain and dangers nearby
Step:5
make a safe route home with your eqqus,or better kill all the dangers nearby, once home you don't have to worry much
On the southern end of the Island, just east of the first artifact cave, there is the small island with the A shaped boulder is. Going north of that, upriver, you will come to an area where the river splits. Sometimes there can be around 3 trotting around on the land splitting the river

3- Gather Raw Carrots
4-Mount Scorpion if Tamed
5- Stay close to the Horse w/ Carrots in inventory

How to tame a equus———✨
Find one-✨
Put it in a safe place-✨
After get about 100 to 50 rockacarrots ✨
Ride it then when it try’s to buck you off feed it
✨
After a long painful time you will have a equus like me✨
Using rockarrots makes taming them really fast I’ve tamed a lot of them with only one rockarrot but sometimes it’s more.
This is a lot easier to tame than I thought it was! Step 1: with a dino that’s good at gathering berries, get some rock carrot seeds
(I suggest a Bigfoot or stego) step 2: plant and grow carrots (carrots work best but mejo berries will work as well) Step 3: sneak up to a horse and feed it with a carrot (or mejo berry) in the last slot of your hot bar. Step 4: Immediately mount it and repeat until tamed.
Thank you for reading! Hope it helps you fellow horse lovers!
They take a while to tame but are totally worth it ,
They are fast and strong and you can use a lasso while on it
To get 97% taming bonus feed it 10×soothing balm from piranha percuit and feed it carrots while riding.it running on circle so tame one when nobad thing near otherwise if it takes damage you lost bonus percentage.
I would advise having preserving salts if you’re gonna use rockarrot so I doesn’t spoil as quickly
These guys spawn in plains which are near the swamp
Pick them up with an argy and drop them in a taming pen this will make it easier. On playstation for ASA press triangle when they start bucking to feed again. If they are not bucking pressing triangle will just dismount you.
To the person asking about the carrots on the island you have to gather seeds from the same plants you get berries and then plant them in a large crop plot. Be sure to water and fertilize!
Run run run, crouch when close still approaching at an angle, when close enough,(stack of carrots in zero slot) click three “e” three times; one to feed, one to mount, one to start THE RIDE! Each time you get the feed prompt, hit “e” and pray it gets stuck in a corner and doesn’t run off a cliff, or into carnivores. Ignore everything but the prompt, hitting “e” without hesitation. (You cannot control the run at all). That’s it.
Quick tip: don’t knock them out. That’s not how you tame them
It eats troodon kibble or rockcarrot then ride every time it is going to stop and do its animation you press 0 or right on the d pad and have rockcarrot or troodon kibble there then u have your equs. ;)
For the guy who could not keep the equus in the trap, first of all, do NOT use thatch or wood. Use stone or better for the trap. Second, make sure that you put it in the trap correctly or make the trap bigger. Then make sure that it is NOT ON AGRO!!! P.s. most people are lying when they say they are knockout tame... THEY ARE NOT... THEY ARE PASSIVE! Y.w. ( your welcome)
Do not reccomend for quick travel on mobile it it is not really that fast and raptor or parasaur are better alternatives but they are great for knocking out other creatures
Don't listen to the taming numbers. Bring twice the amount.
You might want to take some anti-nausea medicine before trying to tame this thing because it just runs in circles (for me at least, and on mobile). A lvl50 took like an hour of running in circles. It was very painful.
But sorta worth it because it’s a mobile mortar&pestle and now I can lasso people.
