Lassos can be crafted from their saddles

Their saddles act as a morter and pestle

After you tame one (good luck) you can make a saddle and you can make a lasso from it, you can only make a lasso and use it on a equus.

These things are really hard to tame you have to make sure you have lots of rockcarrots and time when you feed them right

Regular (blue) kibble, not Simple like Dododex says. Just confirmed on Aberration Official.

Dododex needs to add the taming slow of being bucked off because it always does it to me and I need so many Rockarrots

If there is one on valguero, trap it in the in-escapable well, once tamed build a ramp of some sort and enjoy the new horsey you have

Using Simple Kibble DID NOT work in the slightest! It gained 1% using it with 8x taming.

Taming an Equus requires some patience because it takes a little while if you try to ride and feed it berries. However, I’ve learned that they like Rockcarrots better and will tame quicker. An Equus also can collect berries and run at the same time, which helps collects a lot of berries.

Wait for 2x taming. It's a pain to find one let alone trying to keep it alive long enough to be tamed. All it takes is 1 bite from an AI and you're back where you started.

If you're playing on Abberation use a karkinos to grab a wild one and then all you have to do is feed it 🥕's until it's tamed

When taming make sure you have lots of Rock carrots. I can not stress this enough. Also if you jump the horse while you tame you can run down the stamina, and the Equus will tired out and stop runnning. Side note the spawn in good amount in the Highlands on Ragnarok.

A lvl 5 horse needs about 15-20 carrots to tame. Nearly KOed me.

Every time you unmount it, progress and effectiveness drops drastically. It also for some reason doesn't tame with kibble, use carrot instead.

I have a tip, when you see a unicorn for the first time; don’t knock it out!

Tamed a level 10 unicorn (it was the only one on the server so I had no choice) and it only took 4 carrots. Plan on bringing more carrots though, as you never know what’ll happen

*Uni taming* No mounting is required to tame a unicorn. They prefer griffin kibble, I don’t know exactly how many will be needed but I used 1 soothing balm and 1 super griffin kibble and it tamed immediately.

*bonus tip* If you carry to a taming pen and it freaks out and prevents you from taming, tranq dart until sleep then allow it to wake up to reset taming. DO NOT USE ARROWS AS THEY WILL KILL IT.
