It's a passive taming, just feed him like you do moschops. only difference is once you start feeding you'll sit back on it and you gonna feed it everytime it gets hungry. so have as many as carrots first itself. and it's torpor attack is super useful for taming some dinos without have to use tranq arrows or darts. it's back kick makes dinos unconscious and with its saddle we have access to a rope which can be used to drag some dinos wherever we want.

If playing on Xbox, the feed button doesn’t show up (or if it does it says press E) but the button is Y. You have to push Y as soon as it says something like “Calm the Equus. Maybe food will help.” in a blue icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. If you push Y before it says to then you’ll dismount and have to start over.

So uh.. On mobile they can also be tamed with berries. Its true. But the berries make taming go up so low, and taming equus is already a pain to do. So if you try taming one with berries, its not even worth it.

Oh also for the lazy Equus, I’m not entirely sure what it means, but with mine it didn’t listen to commands like stop, which is how it followed me out into the ocean without me realizing and got eaten by four megalodons. Again, saying this from experience but that doesn’t mean I know the true facts, just logical estimations based from experience.

Please can someone tell me what button do I press to feed them during taming ride pls on ps4? I've been trying l3 and r3 cos I thought they're the controls to feed on other mounts but I ALWAYS get bucked off cos he needs food to calm him. I want a horsey!!!

Was harder to tame than a griffin for me!!! You can’t knock it out and its sooo sensitive… I used a minor balm and about 70 ish carrots because of mishaps in order to tame it and a 2x2 stone structure to contain it because this little stubborn Zebra horse prefers to run into allosauruses than be tamed!!! I also used 16 stone door frames around the base then used my Argy named insomnia (Idk why but it fit) to carry it into the cage which takes a lot of aim and is a challenge on mobile… anyways after 8 dilo kibbles and 70 ish carrots it decided to start losing tame progress as it tamed!!!! So annoying!!! Anyways I did finally tame the little beast! I wish you all luck!!! And recommend you have at least 15 dilo kibble on you or 100-130 carrots because they go bad fast on you to tame this little thing…

More of a question than a tip so this app is hardly ever wrong but it says 14 hours to breed 🤔 but I just did mine and now it’s telling me 1 day 14 hours and 11 minutes 😳 what’s that about???

Here's a. Quick tip they love berry's especially mejoberrus and there very useful for traveling they also run away if you get to close the are located at the very middle of the map

I would get an iguanodon and give it a rocarrot or whatever it’s called tap it to get the seed get a medium crop plot and plant it in there after about 10 mins or something it should be a fruitling then it will give the carrots I’ve done this I have almost 3 stacks of the carrots I need to find an Equus tho which sux cause I have a hard time taming and finding stuff so I hoped it helped a bit!

Crunch any carnivores around them before attempting to hop on and tame, because they WILL find the nearest raptor or carno to get themselves (and probably also you) chomped rather than allow themselves to be tamed.

Whatever u do bring more rock carrots do not listen to the game bring 27 rockcarrots they usually eat 2 at a time

I was just looking for an equus on my argy and saw one I took it to the red obelisk and went back to get carrots and tamed it and didn’t even get to ride it because I had boosted rates

Make it jump so it can’t run, making it easy to remount it, up if this helped you waste an hour taming it

Feed a carrot before jumping on it’s back. It u jump on it’s back before feeding ya carrot, the tamping will be messed up.
