Where to find a equus and how to tame a equus.

I would say the iguanodons are MUCH better-they have an ability to swap from 2 legs to 4 legs and on four legs thay never lose stamina. At all. And on 2 legs, heck if I knew anything cool about two legs.

Ok anyone know the best way to place to find a equus?

Before you tame this garbage, know that despite it having eyes equus are blind because they will walk right into danger and ruin your taming effectiveness. The only safe way to tame these are to build a trap and use a Argentavis or Wyvern to drop it in, but by that point equus are pretty garbage.so just look for a better land mount as these arent worth it. I recomend Gallimimus.

Passive tames in ark in general are trash, they're not worth your time. How are you meant to tame a creature that runs immediately when you get close even when you're wearing ghille armor.

Taming on ASA. Grabbed it with an argentavis and dropped into a 2x2 taming box. Not sure why I had a hard time feeding it, standing straight in front of it was a no go. Standing slightly off to it’s side allowed me to feed it with ‘E’ then it gave me the option to ride with ‘E’ though the positioning was finicky. The taming tooltip appeared in the lower right hand corner for me while I was tame riding it. I was bucked off a lot until I found you’re supposed to press ‘E’ to feed it again AS SOON AS it kicks its rear legs. I had rockcarrot in my last hotbar slot the whole time.

So before you go to ride a wild equus; no they cannot be over encumbered, you’ll still be at the mercy of wherever this thing takes you. Much like hyenadons I suggest on most maps and areas to build a two room taming arena. The arena can be one wall high, with one room being vastly larger than the other. The small room is to help you sneak in and or keep them from escaping if you like to use double doors. Wear a ghillie suit and approach from the rear. Depending on settings and your stats if it kicks you off you may be passed out or completely fine. Leave the rendered area or wait a little distance away from the arena to reset aggro/ai state. Much like moschops and dire wolves you can ride with the need of a saddle.

You should get door frames and build around it as fast as you can then use a wooden club or tranq arrow

People say this is a good tame but they are overrated

The thing lied to me it seys 5 and I had to use 10 uggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
