Soothing balm, use it , rockcarrots, feed it

If hard to find on The Island, a herd seem to spawn near the red obelisk, green obelisk and the black sand area off the river next to the redwoods, I killed a bunch of low levels for some easy pelt and I came back after 10-15 minutes, after I found a 145 Equus. Hopefully you found this helpful.

When Equus hunting, ALWAYS go to the southern haven. Since there aren't any predators there, you have nothing to worry about. While you're there, it's great for metal runs. And if the Equus there are too low leveled, simply kill them, leave, wait for more to spawn, and hope for a higher level.

A great travelling companion on many of the Ark maps. The Equus has a unique taming method, where you must walk up to it, feed it(their preferred food is Rockarrots), and ride it. The horse will attempt to buck you off, but when it does, press the prompted button and you will stay on and increase its taming percentage. You cannot control the horse while you are riding a wild one, so be sure to clear out the area you decide to tame it in.

One of the best mounts to get around in Ark ever since flyer nerf.

They spawn more at redwood forest with Rexs, Raptors and carnos around....do they even know fear?

You don't need to see were it went just get rockarrots and feed then ride keep feeding

And boom got yourself an equus.up so beginners can see

It will run half the map away from you

1.99 or less : Lazy class

2 - 3.09 : Normal class

3.10 - 4.5 : Swift class

4.51 - 6.64 : Maiden class

6.65 - 13.32 : Racing class

13.33 and above : Thoroughbred class

Been through scorched earth on a equus with no name. It felt good to be out of the rain. Cause in SE you can remember your name, cause there ain't no one for to give ya no pain. After 9 days I let the equus run free cause the desert had turned to sea. There were plants and birds and rocks and things, there was sand and hills and rings.

These guys are good starter tames in ark because you dont need a saddle to ride 1 also if it's a high level like level 100 tame it they have good hp, weight, stamina etc. Also if you encumbered you can ride this guy and put your stuff I'm him

They are in game and are a passive tame! To tame, use a rockarrot or Troodon kibble, put it in the last slot in your hot bar and feed it. Once fed, press 'e' to ride. At this point it will either try to buck you off or it'll run around. If it tries to buck you off, press 'e' again. Keep doing this process every time it tries to buck you off.

Equus' can be ridden with or without a saddle! Happy taming c: ❤

pfft. ark gave them the wrong name. Equus is actually just a horse. They’re actually called Allohippus. Yeah. Uhhh thanks

Don't try to tame these with mejoberries, I swear this took longer than an entire d&d session.

There is also a rare unicorn tame but there is only one on the map at a time.

They have broken the game for me now. All I do is ride around the island with a simple pistol n lasso.

On Ark: Ultimate Mobile, go on Ragnarok in the HighLands and get a few Rocarrots, equus spawn there too, seek for a lvl you want and get behind him crouched(Tip: First person its easy to go, since u dont touch them) and just feed, and never, when i say NEVER mount them, they would knock u out and run away if you do that. The real tip is, just feed it when he gets hungry like a normal passive taming. Now you can run around the map in a horse with NoName, and seek for what u want.

Annother tip, hes a really good mount to help tame another creatures on early game since u can use his saddle as a mortar, just gather alot of narcoberrys with him and be happy making an good amount of narcotics.

To all the new ark players you can use a equus to knock out other players and animals

Ps: tame them with rockcarrots they tame sooooo… much quicker

If your looking for these guys, I don't know if it's a guaranteed spawn but if you look around the rivers around the green obelisk, they seem to spawn to up to groups of three. I've tamed two from that same area, but be careful. That area has rexes, carnos, spinos, and allos, so bring something that can kill them. If you can't find any equus, just clear out the area. Also not about equus, but ovis can spawn here as well. I found two of them here in the jungle...
