Don't ever tame one of those, unless you're trying to get the achievment. Wild ones are very annoying and that makes you think tamed ones will be useful, right? NO, THEY'RE NOT! They do have an aoe attack that stuns, but they're not rideable and the AI won't ever use this attack. Instead, they will keep bitting with a ridiculous damage, like 6 or 7 points.
One of the most feared aquatic wild creatures is totally useless when tamed.

They make great gaurd dogs because of their mate boost and shock torpor damage witch helps protect your raft from leed and sarcos. They also good as body guards because of their speed and the sheer number of them that you can have at once. They can also overwhelm this like mosas and megalodons so you can knock them out in minutes.
Does anyone think that it should be able to shut down all nearby players electricity like, lights, tek and even meks! That would make them worth taming
Who agrees that these would be OP mounts. Come one wildcard. Why canβt these guys be mounts!
Sadly unlike their wild counterparts, tamed eels are almost worthless due to the massive nerfs they get upon taming. It will be less difficult and far more worth your time to go tame literally any other ocean creature.
Kind of your go to tranquil Dino for undersea dinos such as the Mosa or Pleso. Tame a lot for the pack bonus which increases the Torpor given. Don't use these for fighting because of rly low health.
Up if you think they should make bigger and you can ride him without a saddle
Great defense early game especially if you have only an itchy
