Recently took on this creature again in Ark Survival Evolved and I have a few tips that could be helpful for your victory:

1. Creatures you'll need 1 Yutyrannus and 19 Therizino's

2. Recommended stats for the Yuty 50k health and 3 - 3.5k Stamina having it imprinted as a baby also helps. Reason for this there is a chance where you might get hit by a fireball or set on fire by the Dragons breath attack so better to be safe with a little extra health.

3. Recommended Stats for the Therizino's 35k health and 1.1k melee (side note these are what I was able to get from breeding good stats and no mutations and only primitive saddles I couldn't find any blueprints for better ones) Therizino's are the best for taking on the dragon as it does More damage to Carnivores than Herbivores

4. Gear you will need to take on with you:

A. Full Ghille suit it's hot in the arena so having good pieces of Ghille for the heat and armor protection will be crucial as Dimorphodon spawn in the arena and will be able to hit you even if you are on a mount so high armor and high durability on that armor

B. Medical Brews you will take damage in this fight there is no avoiding it better to heal up as soon as possible with these obviously you'll also have food and water on you no need to die to not having these things

C. Pump Shotgun this is a must you won't be out of this fight best to get as much damage in as possible. I was using a Journeyman one that I got from a blueprint that had a damage of 180 it's all I could find if you find a better one then you are in good shape. I was carrying abou 3-4 stacks of ammo.

5. Veggie Cakes I didn't use Veggie Cakes during the Gamma or Beta Fights you can if you want to but I didn't need to use them. Alpha however I would recommend having them I gave my Therizino's 16 Veggie Cakes. I recommend getting yourself a beehive or 2 to help this process.

So this is how the fight will go as soon as you spawn in hop onto your Yuty walk away from your tames then hop off and shotgun the dragon once to get it's agro while it's in the air the dragon will start shooting fireballs at you so be sure to dodge them the less damage your tames take the better. Pteranadon and Dimorphodon will spawn in and agro onto you so if you have to run to your tames so they can kill them for you, do this in between fireball attacks after they're delt with keep dodging fireball attacks until the dragon lands. Do not cross the lava river there is no need to do that the dragon will cross the river and come towards you. Your tames will take unnecessary damage and some of them will get stuck. Once it's across the river whistle attack onto it and courage roar with the Yuty to boost them up. Make sure your Yuty is on Passive when you do all this you don't want it to run straight at the dragon and get killed, and stand back far enough so you don't get set on fire during its breath attack. Once you dismount use your Pump Shotgun to get in that extra damage as much as you can just be sure to watch out for the Dimorphodons and Pteranadons. If it flies away just whistle your Therizino's back into the corner and do the same thing as before with drawing agro and avoiding fireballs. Other than that if you succeed congratulations you defeated one of the hardest bosses before your fight with the Overseer. I did this in single player solo on difficulty 5 had to override the game files so that dinos up to level 150 could spawn. You do not want to pump health on your Rex’s or theirs you want all melee Bc the dragons fire does percentage damage to your Dino’s and carnivores take more percentage and herbivores take less percentage damage from the fire breath so you wanna use theirs and veggie cakes are helpful with a Yuty and you should be fine and saddles don’t matter a ton but they will help from the other Dino’s and his bite attack and fireball and the fireball can kill you off your mount so run around with you Dino’s in follow and when the dragon lands whistle it and buff then when it flys off whistle follow again and repeat

Try using theris I think they are immune to or something I just know they are good

Breed Rex’s kill the worst ones but ride a yewtaranus to get the buff on the Rex’s and use Rex’s because there beefy and do that you shuod be good also watch Phlinger phoo solo the ark dragon just do what he does

If you have a big tribe bring insane bred paraceratheriums with cannon and turrets. And it wouldn’t hurt to bring a tickle chicken or 10 and a few hell pigs, right?

Use rinos and a yuty 9rino 1yuty 1 person with a gun easy

Best way to do the dragon…

Transport a reaper king from annexation and use an army of either allosourases or tickle chickens, ride the reaper and lead your army around until he lands and put the army into the dragon. You can either go in with your reaper who will take reduced damage due to there natural armor or bring a yuty to boost them all. Either way it should be a fairly easy win and you should only lose a few allo’s if not any at all

For gamma, I brought in a yuty, rhino, and 18 (unleveled) direwolves, yes, direwolves, the dragon ignores the direwolves the same way it does for megalosaurus and deinonychus. I brought the rhino as a backup plan and it didn't help, the dragon just focused it and it eventually died. I eventually won

For beta I brought in a bunch of incredibly leveled creatures including three stegos with 60000 health, a daeodon with 75000 health, a yuty with 100000 health, and a mammoth with 80000 health as well as all the remaining direwolves (13 total). I rode a stegos while blasting the boss with anpowerfull shotgun, The two other stegos died as well as 11 direwolves. I eventually won (P.S. I had all the direwolves named after fictional characters and the only two to survive we Peter and Lois Griffin)

For alpha, I haven't done yet, but my plan is to use a rhino that deals at least 28000 damage per fully charged hit, as well as a possible mate for the rhino (for increased damage) Another leveled yuty, another leveled daeodon, probably 10 high damage direwolves, and 6, 25000 health stegos (rest of levels into melee)

Another idea is to bring a rhino, a yuty, and 18 stegos all on separate tame ordering groups, each time the dragon lands, you send one or two stegos and tack a ton of damage on by using the rhino while the dragon is distracted, once those stegos are dead, you send the next and repeat until the dragon is dead.

These alpha ideas are quite possibly terrible so, don't lay all your trust in them

HOW DO YOU DO THE HIGH LEVEL CAVE IVE DONE SO MUCH BUT I STILL DIE

Therys Will die when you do alfa , you must use some strong deinyns a daeodon and yuti, You also can try it with rhinos and a shotgun.

bring a bunch of rexes one yuty and 2 deinonychus because the dragon will try to attack the rexes and leave the deinonychus alone leaving them to damage it insanly

Bring mutated Therizinos due to herbivore’s fire resistance... and a yuty

Never fought it, should I use rexes or theriz. I have around 300% armour for Rex saddles and 100% armour for theri saddles.

Megatheriams rocket launchers….. more Megatheriams friends with ascend shotguns more Megatheriams…..

Bring lots of rexs and flyers can't be used

If your going into the boss alone use 19 Theri's and 1 Yutyrannus if your going into the boss fight with others have 1 person on the Yutyrannus and how ever many other people on wolly rhinos make sure they imprinted there own rhino so they get the buff and make sure everything have veggie cakes and heal with a Deaodon after the fight hope this helped

If you can, use magmasuars. Magmasuars do not take fire damge

Just did it on gamma, this one is a nightmare.. 15 theri + 1 yuty, all basic saddles, 30k+ hp, only 3 survived..

Megatheriums are good because they are tanky, but therizinosaurs are better because they heal far better with veggie cakes. Therizinosaurs also get less damage for fire breath and have good dps or attack speed. Herbivore are better for this fight, and megatheroum are know as carnivores. It is okay if you bring them in, i Just recomend you bring a good pump other gun like an ar. I recomend journeyman and up, if you have breed therizinosaurs take them. If you only have megatheriums but they are really strong take them. If you take megathrium I recomend you actually bring two daeodons for healing. Keep surviving survivor.- Boss slayer
