These guys might honestly be the best beginner pet. They are a little hard to tame but it is so worth it. To begin, these are great defenders! I live in south zone so this keeps me safe from argys, sabertooths, dilos. They also are great stone collectors, they don’t even need a saddle to collect stone. Let it go on wander and it will collect stone for you and come back right before it gets encumbered.

You can trap this thing. It can’t fit through a 1x1 wooden doorway, but you can. Make a trap with ramps for it to get in and wooden doorways for walls for a quick escape. Wood foundation is enough. I tame doedicurus lvl 45 with a mix of tranq arrows, slingshot, and club. It rolled into a ball but it eventually unrolls. If you have a trap, you can be patient. If you’re low on metal/supplies or just want a stone base quickly, this is the tame for you. The tranq darts idea make sense to me, but I didn’t want to make so much gunpowder and metal ingots.

Best things to gather ele dust from lamp posts and such on extinction

They should add what collects the most element dust. (Up this so it will be seen)

Here is a tip for those of us using large rocks for cover, trying to hide out in the forests while playing solo: If you park this little guy by a rock, he will destroy the rock all by himself. If you carry him with an argie and skim over a rock, he will destroy that rock all by himself and you lose your cover (good luck getting refertilizer to re-grow your rocks). The good news is that you can harvest stone with this little guy by simply skimming over rocks, avoiding the chance of getting eaten by a hidden saber tooth or a raptor!

The higher the damage the more stone you receive when going on a stone run

Quite easy to tame go to the redwood forest or a mountain shoot a couple of tranq arrows and pit da kibble and wait

I just wanna point out that the roll speed is the same as the running speed and despite defying all laws of physics gets slower when the weight is too high

If it’s over lvl 100 bring more then 100 tranq darts, when it’s balled up it’s annoying to knock out bc it takes less topor.

On crystal isles it is not auto gathering stone in the shoal rocks locations in the south west part of the map i tried everything can someone submit a tip telling me about this?

I found a level 25 doedicurus and it took at least 40 traq arrows to know him out

They have the army ability to where stone, metal, and some other things are half weight.

Doing too much damage too fast will cause it to go into armor mode. If you are using a crossbow count your shots. Start when you get the hit marker and shoot when you get to 5.

If its been damaged by dinos before you start dont even waste your arrows. Find a Doed that has full health. This works regardless of levels.

just tamed a level 140 on aberration with a primitive crossbow and darts. make sure to hit its head and wait like 5 seconds counted slowly between shots and it won't go into the ball mode

Use a high level argy to pick it up and hover over rocks, it will automatically swing and harvest the rocks, great for super fast stone collection and is a lot safer

On Aberration, tame 2 of these get a crab to carry them walk around and they will collect rock automatically until 3/4 full. Saves time during x1.

Once found attack it until it goes into is shell then place a thatch floor over it you need obstruction off and after you have trapped it it can't move or attack and you can knock it out

This little guy is also really efficient on extinction! It can harvest the benches, lights, and tables for lots of crystal, element dust, and electronics!

Just tried to tranq a level 130 with 100 darts and didn’t fall, it instead froze up and is now just standing in one spot. I don’t know , but this is the first time this is happened to me in all the years of playing ark
