Utility Tips

What is a dodo used for? dodo battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
This guy can become a beast in mobile, in mobile when you make big dodos breed the baby will always be bigger than his of her parents and you just keep breeding and dodos of 2.6 can be ridden and it can go into dodo rage mode and which is one of its abilities, depending on the size the dodos unlock special abilities and the ones I know is the dodo rage mode and the slam attack which stuns players and creatures.
On mobile, there is a little thing called dodo size. It dictates two things, 1. How you go about transporting the dodo, and 2. What bits you can put on it. You can breed them to get the size you want, for the purposes you want. Little dodos are shoulder birds, medium dodos are regular dodos, and large dodos can be ridden and can equip bits.
A tip is get this sick with swamp fever (or even better Mega rabies! Only if close 2 someone's base) put c4 on it drop into the best tribe in the server (they cant have turrets) and put in they,re base, detonate the c4 (they have to be online) and then one will go after it for meat then they will get sick infecting the tribe, then bring gas masks and flush em out raid em take em prisoner!!
Dodos are easy tamed for beginners, and sometimes even good tames for more advanced people, you can breed bigger dodos so you can equip special items on them (dodo cultivator) and ride them, they eat berries and they need to be well protected because they are quite weak and slow

If you make a pen for dodo breeding I highly recommend the following method: Dodos have a tendency of escaping through my briefly open doors so I made a small hall with a door on each end. One door is to the outside world, the other door goes into the dodo enclosure. This ensures that if a dodo sneaks by me through the enclosure door, I can catch it before it gets completely outside. Never lose your dodos to accidental escape again!
Infect a bunch of dodos with swamp fever,
Put them in a big box on the back of a quetz that has a Dino gate at the back wall,
Then fly the quetz over the map and when you're above the base of a tribe you don't like, open the gate on the quetz and fly over,
The diseased dodos will fall out the back and infect everybody with swamp fever,
Works best when the dodos also have C4s so that you can blow them up as well,
Works even better when you have an unclaimed onyc biting away and giving the dodos rabies,
Works even better than that when the dodos are max levelled entirely on melee damage,
Works EVEN better than that when the dodos are accompanied by some raptors,
And EEEEEEEVEN better than even that when the dodos have some pegos as well to steal any weapons and cryoed tames, after that just go back and bring any dodos raptors and pegos that somehow survived back with you and take anything in their inventories
In a PVP server, if you encounter a base with turrets set to attack players, what you do, is take a tamed dodo, and pick it up. After this start walking up to the base still holding said dodo, since you are behind the dodo, the turrets will not target you, and you will be able to ghost up to the base walks and destroy them however. Hope you enjoyed this tip!
These guys are not only a good starter tame, they also have 2 more utilities. They are technically the best distraction tame
(tames that are sacrificed to save the owner's life). They can be be used to escape carnivores such as Dilos, Rexes, ecc.
They are the best distraction tames because they are the easiest ones to tame, and they are also common.
They are also an early-game kibble source.
How to play dodo ball:
1. Get dodo.
2. Make a 1x1x1 box with no ceiling. Make a door to retrieve dodo.
3. Your objective is to chuck the dodo into the box.
4. You can't hurt your own tames, so you can punch it around the place. I haven't actually tried dodo ball, but it seems fun.
5. Make your own rules. Bring in tames. Allow killing. Something like that.
P.S. It's not my fault if someone calls RSPCD.
