When hatching an Egg make sure to feed it right away as it has low health and low food it will constantly need food. Do this for a few miutes and it should be able to survive longer with less food. Once the healthbar stops going down you're good to go. Just make sure they are safe and feed because they can only carry 5 berries in baby stage.

Today I will show you how to tame the wild dodo, first you need berries (meijoes) then you need to knock it out using neither tranqs, fist,and clubs. No that it's knocked out put the berries in the inventory and wait 1-2 mins. Congratulations you have a dodo.

You need a bat and some berries to tame. You can also use your fist to knock out a dodo, but bat effective. This is the starter dinosaur for taming.

This is for ALL animals especially dodo's they can eat out of a trough when they turn juvenile (for the rest of thier life)

How to tame

1 attack the Dodo until it says "unconscious put food in inventory to tame

2 put berries in it's inventory

3 while you are putting berries in their inventory wait until the taming bar reaches 100

When I had 4 Dodos 1 was killed by a Sarco the rest killed the Sarco I'm really proud of them!

Dodos are almost completely useless, but they are great for beginners to get the hang of things. Even if you know this right from the start, a dodo is probably one of the best first tames if you just want a companion to take along. Oh yeah, and they can mate and make eggs, which I'm pretty sure makes food (if you don't hatch it that is).

Tame an army of these guys. Make them attack a predator as you sneak behind it. WARNING: Only works on Dilos.
