Get enough of them in a building to have a dodo egg farm, easy taming

On mobile you can get giant rideable dodos and small shoulder mountable dodos

A Beginners Guide to War Dodos: Tame two wild dodos, a male and a female. Only upgrade melee damage & and health on your new friends. Once you are satisfied with their stats, pen them up & enable wandering & and mating. Pick up the fertilized eggs they lay and place them next to a lit campfire, not to close & and not to far away. Don’t worry about the eggs’ health, they won’t have time to lose to much hp. The eggs will hatch in an hour, & the chicks will need care roughly every next hour. As they mature, upgrade only melee & health. Pick your two favorite dodos & repeat the process. Voila! War Dodos!

These might seem useless but they’re quite the opposite. Here’s how.

One: eggs

We all know that every Dino on ark and some other creatures lay eggs but the dodo can actually lay eggs quicker than any other. You can use this by these 3 steps,

1: make a 2x2 thatch or wood base. This will keep your dodos safe from any deadly creatures that are a bit hungry.

2: The dodos (obviously). You want about 5 female dodos for your egg laying

3: a male dodo or an oviraptor (optional) the reason you would want one or both of these is because they would boost egg laying speed and with the male dodo to get even more dodos.

Two: raids

I know I know it sounds stupid but it’s actually a bit more grim. First, if you’re high a level enough and you can make C4s, you can WARNING IF YOU HAVE A GREAT LOVE FOR DODOS SKIP TO THE NEXT PARAGRAPH. So, you would strap the C4 on your dodo. Then, you would toss by an enemy base on wander, let it get near and, either when a player sees the C4 or is by the base, KABLAM, you just won a war of raids, from a dodo.

Three: company on single player

Now, picture this, you and your only army just died from a giga and you can’t get your stuff back, you super frustrated because you lost all your 50 tranq darts, 20 excepcional kibble, and a fertilized Rex egg. Then you have your little dodo, right by you, and you start to get cured of your depression, and gain enough confidence to sneakily grab your stuff, and tame a new high level argy. Dodos in ark are great for therapy and company. Now, I hope you see the dodo in a new way.

Step 2 on taming a dodo: give any berry except narcoberries

Step 3 on taming a dodo: wait

Step 4 on taming a dodo: give it lots of love

If you breed a dodo with enough size you have a cheap semi-tanky gatherer that can defend you against some predators. No joke.

(Btw to get dodo feathers get a pet dodo that is 1.36 or over and kill it) (you have a better chance of getting dodo feathers is if the is a overaptor

Great pets and fighters a level one can take out a level 120 sarco without any damage

Most people will say they are only useful for eggs but if you have a big enough group you can make a dodo pit of death 💀

on Mobile when imprinting, i use save-restore until I get either "walk" or "cuddle". No way i'm feeding that little tyke any Rex or Spino Kibble...

These things seem weak. They're kind of good actually.

Farm them for their eggs, this works for free food. Just tame a few and put them in a place or somewhere. Make sure you get the girl Dodo. Boys can't lay eggs.

On an unrelated note a level 9999 dodo has 11k hp

All these people saying it is weak and easy to tame are trolls!!! When you see one, turn around and RUN before it goes aggro on you, I REPEAT, RUN. Guess how I know 😢

People are constantly saying that dodos have no purpose besides eggs and umm... fertilizer. I completely disagree! I live on a houseboat and travel all over the oceans and dodos are (in my opinion) are some of the best companions on the ark, especially since their small size makes the good for people with small bases or like me, boats

Cute 'lil pet that's lays tons of eggs, and loads of poop for fertilizing crop plots, so an excellent source of quality food, at.. honestly any stage come to think of it. Especially when you have lots of them.

Fun mutations, and can be bred bigger or smaller on mobile.

They can work as a "bob's first fridge" too as putting perishable eats into a tamed creature's inventory slows spoil time by half.

Great for getting up off the ground and will loyally support you into the endgame, is this little fella the housepet for you? Yes.

idk what to put this under, but to make a baby dodo reach maturity, you should feed them narcoberries. it makes them eat food by themselves, so i while my baby was unconscious, i looked for more food. up of helpful! this is my first tip :)
