Dodges below 0.8 dodo scale can be shoulder pets, and if above 2.4 dodo scale you can ride them. Beach dodos have smaller dodo scale, from my experience.

You'll need 10 behemoth metal gates, 150 shocking tranquilizer darts with a long neck rifle and to tame 50 extraordinary kibble then you have the strongest Dino in the game.

So alot of players don't know this but the dodos aren't passive tame because it teaches new players how torpor taming works (keep in mind how the lystrosaurus is a beginner passive tame so we don't need another one)

Best place to find these is in the stomach of any meat eating Dino. Even the vegan teacher could help herself.

In a PVP server, if you encounter a base with turrets set to attack players, what you do, is take a tamed dodo, and pick it up. After this start walking up to the base still holding said dodo, since you are behind the dodo, the turrets will not target you, and you will be able to ghost up to the base walks and destroy them however. Infect a bunch of dodos with swamp fever,

Put them in a big box on the back of a quetz that has a Dino gate at the back wall,

Then fly the quetz over the map and when you're above the base of a tribe you don't like, open the gate on the quetz and fly over,

The diseased dodos will fall out the back and infect everybody with swamp fever,

Works best when the dodos also have C4s so that you can blow them up as well,

Works even better when you have an unclaimed onyc biting away and giving the dodos rabies,

Works even better than that when the dodos are max levelled entirely on melee damage,

Works EVEN better than that when the dodos are accompanied by some raptors,

And EEEEEEEVEN better than even that when the dodos have some pegos as well to steal any weapons and cryoed tames, after that just go back and bring any dodos raptors and pegos that somehow survived back with you and take anything in their inventories

This is a very hard a complicated taming process. First u must knock out the dodo. Second u must feed the dodo. Third u must beware of other dodos nearby in case they kill u. Once your dodo is tamed simply throw him into your thatch hut and now you have someone to talk to when the cold nights creep over yous. Beware dodos are very chatty

Tip: If you are a low level and see one of these roaming around the beach, don’t hesitate and turn your face around and RUN! Only go near them if you know what your doing or you are level 70 or higher. They can live in groups so they are stronger in numbers. They are not passive! To make them unconscious you will need around 75 to 256 tranq arrows. You might not see the Danger icon pop up on your screen but they are dangerous.
