I honey tamed a lvl 110, and let me tell you this thing was amazing. Got it to lvl 220 with 7k health, 1k carry, and 300+ melee. Stamina and movement speed are wasted points in the higher levels. Once you have one bear, getting more is a breeze with their honey gathering. A mate boosted team of high lvl bears is literally unstoppable. Named it “the truck”... was my best mount ever, too bad it died on passive one day when my tribe and I lost it...

Best dino for so many reasons there speedster and there tanks and the are beasts so live by the red wood forest need to get one

I've notice that Direbears collect woolly Rhino Horns extremely well.

There are so OP, i had a bear level around 250 and it was a monster 15k health, 1k melee, so of you want a very powerful and a dino with a not so expensive saddle this is your dino.

This thing is a miniature Rex, to say the least. I advise this Dino before a Rex. Just as strong. Can carry just as much weight. Has more speed and stamina. Has the speed of a Galli, but is also more controllable when sprinting. Also suitable for caves, unlike the Rex, because the Dire bear is smaller. It is also omnivorous, so you can feed it meat, fruit, or veggies. Great tame if you ask me.

Great fishing buddy. I love having these guys on a fishing trip as they can gather honey in abundance and keep it fresh for bait. Rafts can easily accommodate them and they will hold a surprising amount of rubbish... er loot.

OK this is probably the best way to get pellets (at least if you have a flying Mount)

These things are AWESOME!! They carry a ton of weight, have a ton of stamina, don’t have the best health at low level, but best of all is their attack damage! These things hit harder than a Rex! Was in the northern winter area on The Island and I killed 2 Rex and THEN killed a pack of 5 dire wolves, not to mention the countless argies, and all without her losing half her life.

Should I use for caves? Up to 100+ if so

As far as ground mounts go, the Direbear is one of the best by far. Good health, hits hard, great at gathering many resources and moves incredibly fast once you get him up to speed.

Just take one, good for everything, travel, power, gathering... It can do all that

My base was distroyed from an alpha rex. I got a high level bear and the next time someone brought an alpha rex to my base, it killed it. Stronger than a rex and more maneuverable.

Use them in caves they can do around 300damage once imprinted and are pretty fast at max running. They can basically take anything in the redwoods.

The dire bear is an excellent tame for Fjordur. If you spawn in Vardiland (bottom left island) you can find plenty of honey for taming. Also riding the bear will keep you warm.
