Don't upgrade movement speed. It only affects walking speed on this animal because of their unique sprinting ability. Dump all of the points into health, melee, stamina and weight, in that order, for a beastly bear.

I'm not going to repeat their gathering abilities etc. BUT i will talk about some stats.

Wild Dire bears have low HP but it goes up very fast once tamed(+300hp per level) and they do extreme damage for such a small mount wich actually makes them a perfect mount for caving! More reliable than Barionyxes in my opinion.(i don't like the water)

This creature is my favourite mount. Why? You asked. You have Speed, Damage, Defense mount. Can carry alot because of its weight stats. good thing is when you are almost encumbered, this creature's speed accelerates the longer you sprint it so you won't have problem going home that takes forever and that's a quick metal, wood, stone transfer. Best mount imo.

Top tier on aberration

The longer you sprint with a Dire bear, the faster it goes. They don’t take damage from beehives and get twice as much honey from them, and bear traps do not work on them. Hope this was helpful. Oh and you can find them in the redwoods

All you need to tame is a stone foundation an 4 stone door ways put foundation down an three doorways then lead bear on foundation then shoot it with longneck darts it will be trapped

Can be used as a parachute. If you ride it off a cliff, dismount mid air - enjoy a safe landing. I guess it should work with any other tame, where dismounting leaves you standing on the saddle
