Trap the Dire Bear in a sturdy stone enclosure or large bear trap, then use tranquilizer darts while keeping your distance, as weaker weapons can kill it before it becomes unconscious. Once knocked out, feed it preferred taming food such as honey, meat, or berries, and protect it from nearby predators until the tame is complete.
