If you're looking to take a dependable tame cave dibing then this is for you. I've watched bears take down groups of carnivores with ease and they can also swim pretty well. It's a jack of all trades!

I say it will almost eat anything in its path for example a direbear lvl 80 attacked and broke my boat ballista and one shot me!

Normally, I'd never tame a Direbear, but now I am trying to find them because they are amazing for collecting Fiber. They are usually rare, and don't have enough HP, so use Tranq Darts and even Shock Darts if you have them, and then feed it a bit of Prime Meat, Fish or Normal. It works!

Use darts every time I have tried to knock it out it dies

This is a T-rex in disguise. Lure into taming pin and light up with tranq.

The dire bear is amazing hands down best land mount high weight high melee and there speed is amazing just tamed a 145 out to 216 with kib

Easy tame, 4×4 stone pen with stone windows and a ramp on one side....use bird to kite it in and dart it....great tames

Use Tranq Darts and get it stuck up against the wall, if you want block it in with walls so it can't run then put spikes around it when it's down to deter predators

Wgen you want to tame a low level bear arrows with a crossbow are ok. But when you want a 100+ bear take darts and in primitive you need a good crosbow (200% melee or higher) to get him down. When you dont have this he will die all the time.

Use like 10 darts at first the u can use arrows but wait 5 seconds in between

Just don't get within 10 foundations of it and u will be ok.

If using a taming pen, be mindful of how much punishment your pen can take if made out of wood, its large aoe can hit above it as well.

The best way to tame a wild direbear is building a taming area with stone materials. This way, you will not be damaged by the direbear and will be allow to shoot him without problems. A Quetzal may be needed.

These guys are super underrated. If you can get an imprinted one, in my experience they’re as good as an unimprinted spino.

Really easy way to trap them:

Build a stone foundation, put stone doorways on all sides, and then put a ramp on one of the doorways. Get close to get them to draw their aggro, then run up the ramp and run through the trap. Traps them really well.

DONT USE NARCOTIC ARROWS! They have pretty bad health to torpor ratio so they need tranq darts.

Mutton or honey is best, but prime can be good too.

Make sure to keep them asleep. They wake up pretty fast.

If you don't have tranq darts you can use toxicant arrow

When taming build a trap terror birds always kill them just make sure the bear is safe

In mobile, the Direbear can break a Metal Sign

Easy enough to tame, find ing one is the difficult part. I suggest bringing a bigger and bulkier animal to take hits from this thing while the other player just tranquilizers it. If only one player, grabber onto tree without anything in it and shoot tranquilizers. They either take honey or prime meat. When it’s down PROTECT IT!!

It cannot damage stone, so try to build stone trap and shoot darts, trank arrows kill it before knockout, have it tamed and be disappointed.

Does anybody know if you can Tame a polar bear on fjordur
