A level 18 bear two shotted me while i was taming a galimimus and i was wearing flak armor YEP ITS THAT OP (i was at full hp)

Built a trap (with a escape way) in stone or wood(wood is low in health) and shoot a tranq arrow or tranqulizer and guide him to the trap and escape through the escape way and shoot tranqulizer or tranq arrow 😉

If you don’t have one your not playing the game right dude this is a theri,rhino,Rex, and wolf all in one just stop and get one your game will never be the same.

Some weapons eg crossbow have an increased chance to kill before knockout. If you are forced to use one of these, use dododex to check how many hits it takes before it flees, shoot it one less than this number, drop a sleeping bag and your gear and let it kill and eat you. This heals it enough to then finish it off without risk of death. Obviously requires a trap or cliff etc to do this safely. Not had one die on me since figuring this out. Before it was around 1 in 3 or 4 chance of death with crossbow. Shocking tranq darts are the way to go if you have them.

Use a longneck or good crossbow, a normal one will probably kill the bear.

High levels need a trap unless you are able to find high ground or can tank the bears high damage. They are found in redwoods.

Their great at collecting fiber, do insane damage, and the longer you sprint the faster they get ... just don’t bump into anything or your speed resets. He’s also very easy to tame it’s just the location. Overall why don’t you see many people with this tame?

I honey tamed a lvl 110, and let me tell you this thing was amazing. Got it to lvl 220 with 7k health, 1k carry, and 300+ melee. Stamina and movement speed are wasted points in the higher levels. Once you have one bear, getting more is a breeze with their honey gathering. A mate boosted team of high lvl bears is literally unstoppable. Named it “the truck”... was my best mount ever, too bad it died on passive one day when my tribe and I lost it...

This is the best tame in the game fits in some caves, slapped out everything it came across.

They seem quite nice but they go psyco if you get to close. If you are a low level and treasure your beloved dilo STAY AWAY

Do not use tranq arrows, they have low health so it has a high chance to kill them because tranq arrows do more damage, instead use tranq darts

If u go up to it and it doesn't c u then you'll be in luck if it doesn't see u coz if it does your in for a long battle. Best of luck to u.

Love these bears if you have a trap TAME ONE they are so fast they have good health and they can win a fight with everything

Mostly found in red woods and needs a saddle to ride

Get a balm and Carno kibble they should tame after 1 or 2 balms

Best dino for so many reasons there speedster and there tanks and the are beasts so live by the red wood forest need to get one

So it can farm berries,fiber, meat and it’s stronger than a rex faster than a giga it also farms honey they also good for caves so need I say more?

I've notice that Direbears collect woolly Rhino Horns extremely well.

Great fishing buddy. I love having these guys on a fishing trip as they can gather honey in abundance and keep it fresh for bait. Rafts can easily accommodate them and they will hold a surprising amount of rubbish... er loot.

Like modern bears it is an omnivore feed it carno kibble if u want,but I recommend giant bee honey and modern bears also eat bee honey.

There are so OP, i had a bear level around 250 and it was a monster 15k health, 1k melee, so of you want a very powerful and a dino with a not so expensive saddle this is your dino.
