Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a diplodocus? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a diplodocus.
Passive tame: Don’t let it get hit, also, if you kill anything near it, make sure you harvest the corpse when it’s not near the corpse
When passive feeding, either keep your distance so that it can’t charge you, or make sure you’re not on a great hight as it will launch you off the side of the hill/mountain, and it’ll hurt, trust me, I’ve made that mistake once, and I never will again.
At lvl 5 I tamed one of these guys from hiding underneath. There are a lot of them in redwood forest that's were I tamed mine. Passive tame.
Stay under its tail so you don’t get too close.
Good for a bus or meat you cowards
Prior to taming a wild one, it was being attacked by a bunch of troodons. The stamina drain had its food so low I got 6 feeds in the first 5 minutes, shaved a good 15 mins off. Something to consider.
I'm not sure if it's just the server I play on but take it down if you cant use crops on passive tame I tried all 4.
NOBODY TOLD ME THEY TRY TO MURDER YOU WHEN YOU FEED THEN
Because of their hitbox you can feed whilst on a flyer. Only tested with a tapejara. Makes taking super safe and easy
Standing under its belly definetly works after wasting 80 tranq arrows barely did any damage to a lvl 35 diplo. Just don’t let the food run minimally low otherwise you lose the tame effectiveness.... upvote !
Just stand between it’s front legs and feed it there. You know you did it right if he doesn’t knock you back
Don’t do a knockout tame... it uses like 50 tranq arrows
For a passive tame just sit under it’s belly and feed it and it will be your friend forever.
Wear all Ghille to passive tame
I got mine stuck in a wall and shot some tranks to its head
Diplo I passive tamed with kibble had 40,000 food. It asked for 2nd feeding at 36,8300-ish. It took around 12-15 minutes. The rest were about a minute apart.
im trying to tame a diplo and it’s going crazy over it
How to tame a Diplo from my experience. (Ark mobile player, I don't know if this works on anything else)
1. I do not recommend using plain berries, they barely do anything. Instead, make a farm, farms are extremely easy to make and grow very fast (IN MOBILE), crops do way more than regular berries.
2. Find your Diplo, make sure there's no carnivores near it, and go Underneath it, this will prevent it from being able to push you, as even if it tries, it cannot reach you.
3. Put the crops in your hot bar and passively feed the diplo, being extremely patient, they can he quite stubborn.
4. Diplos are extremely easy tames, aside from the time it takes to fully fill their taming bar up, you should have successfuly tamed a Diplo now, good job.

Took me forever to knock this out, and now I am taming one. Did you know you can knockout tame a diplodocus, and it is quicker than passive taming?
Don't want to invest a lot of time in taming one? Invest in a balm.
