Tips & Strategies

What are tips for diplodocus? Tips and strategies for diplodocus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
They should make this thing's attack do 0.1 damage instead of zero so hackers can get 1000% melee diplos with max mutations that can do one damage then trade them for irl cash on the "market".
But then whenever you try to knock back a dino it will still do damage meaning neutral dinos will get mad at you.
If you stand in the perfect spot between its 2 front legs the diplo will constantly try to "attack" you but won't knock you back nor reposition itself to get a better chance of "attacking" you so if you have a stack of mejoberries you can feed it once, afk until the first interval finishes (this can take anywhere from 24 minutes up to an hour and 15 minutes if its a level 150) then after that you can feed it every 43 seconds until its tamed. If you use mejoberries the taming effectiveness will decrease by so little that if you are taming a level 150 you will still gain the 74 levels with 99.4% taming effectiveness. However if you are playing multi your diplo will instead gain 72 levels which is still good.
This method works because there is a small blind spot near the diplo's 2 front legs that is WITHIN its attack range but OUTSIDE OF its attack aoe.
If you play on old ark mobile then you will occasionally see dilos gang up on diplos until the diplo dies, if you switched to ark use you no longer have to see this as dilos are aggressive to less creatures.
I stole a Diplo egg and it head-butted me straight into the loving arms of a wild Therizinosaurus.
How to get a diplo:
Know that it is easiest to passive tame them, which means walking up to them and feeding them
Get a TON of berries, everytime you feed it, it will go up like 3-5%
Have a high speed, high attack flying dino, (high attack in case you "miss click")
HAVE PATIENCE, diplo's are a stubborn tame, they will push you playfully (hence the flying dino)
MAKE SURE there are no carnivores around, if there are carnies around it will attack it there is a chance of it dying, it will get rid of all your hard work, and most importantly, IT MAY DIE (R.I.P. attempted tame #1 + 2 😢)
Plz note I am not an "high level player" that has a giga, I am lvl 50, (51 at the time I wrote this, almost 52) so I am not that experienced, tho I am sorta, I don't know that much about the game
Dude we all hate these things they hit you off clifs
I feel bad for these guys cus they cant fight back when wild
I don't know if it was attacking me or trying to "cuddle" me but it had scary teeth ._.
When passively taking, keep in mind that there is a large gap of time between their first food item and second. Afterwards the food drain proceeds normally
Everyone saying the Diplo needs a tail whip attack and platform saddle, seriously if you want that get a bronto, the Diplo has its purpose and so does the bronto, making one into the other makes one redundant and totally useless. Brontos are attackers and portable bases, diplos are a hybrid of speed and capacity, no one would complain about a gallimimus that can carry eleven people and still have space to spare for three tonnes of cargo, but they do complain about a Diplo which is essentially that in terms of functionality.
No no no!. They didn't want to hurt u, they just want to play with u, yessss with throw u off from a high cliff
they just want to be your friend #savethe diplos
Not as useless as you might think! A high-level spino was terrorizing a nearby river. I took my diplo (Dylan) and while the spino was focused on killing Dylan, I was using my crossbow and rifle to do damage to it. Spino ended up dead, while Dylan was at 2000 out of 3000 health, and I was not injured at all.
Love u Dylan
When taming or fighting, you can stand under their belly and not be knocked back. It may take a few trys but they do no damage to you anyway.
They try to nudge you and play but their gentle nudge turns into a power yeet
Well everyone, lord Fred saw u passed 40 on the piranha, so it’s time to tell u how to tame a dippy!!!!!
Note: there is two methods to do this: passive or knockout. So I’ll describe both
For passive: if u have nothing to do, then wait like 60hours to tame it with your hand. Trust me, I learned the hard way
If u do knockout l, then u save so much time.
1. Trap it with gate frames. (I recommend stone.)
2. Knockout with tranq arrows. (Don’t know how much)
3. Feed it food. Likes berries
4. 123… POW 💥 u tamed your little friend
Tips: they really like to play with u with they’re necks, so dodge it!
Txs so much for the tip to be published! We’re gonna lower the stakes for u: if this gets past 30, I’ll make one on how to tame a must need tame: CARNOTAURUS!!!
Signed, lord Fred
