Diplos in real life have a very long tail that is used to attack carnivores, but why is ark diplo so weak! I want them to be strong(not stronger than bronto obviously) PLEASE ARK OR MAKE THEM HAVE SOME USE!

I discovered during a bit of playing around that diplo’s aren’t targeted by nearly every small aggressive creature, including microraptors! If you ever want to quickly (or slowly) get past microraptors and don’t wanna get dismounted than this is your tame!

If you stand underneath it by it’s front legs it can’t attack you because it can’t reach you, just so more know.

If you go to one of the Obelisks, you will be able to get a cropod and freezer. Now there not cheep but you will not only be able to use the cryopods to safely transport your dinos of the island.

You will also be able to charge the cryopods in the cryofreezer indefinitely. Be careful though, if a dino is stored in the pod when the pod looses power, your dino will perish. I hope this helps, Good Luck.

GREAT way to get hide at a low level.. Stand underneath and stab with a few spears (they will break easily). We call this the "annoying-o-saurus" because they stomp around and fling you around like a ragdoll. They don't hurt you, but flinging you off of a cliff definitely can. --AK

If you are EVER going to tame one of these guys, I recommend for you to get them stuck on some ledge, and stay underneath these guys, if you stay under their belly, they cant attack you, also, getting them stuck helps SO BADLY when taming considering they KEEP GOD DAMN PUSHIN YOU AROUND, Now, How to get them stuck your asking?.. lead them over to a wall or a ledge then build a tiny encasement around them, idk if you can do this yourself, its just wht i did when i tamed one- so no biggy if it fails inevitably-... anyways, i named my diplo “dippy” .... thats about it, good-day!

If you are on a cliff and you are trying to tame this dude be careful because he can't attack, but he can push. So it might happen that it will just yeet you off of a cliff. And also if you touch or be near it it will become aggresive and it will push you around.

Everyone says they need a tail whip or defense in the wild. I say NO! If they were argressive in the wild then it’s like agro brontos running around.

These bad boys are the best way to get prime meat! (Make sure you use a flyer so you don’t die in the swamp, or use a sarco . ) Because the best place they spawn is the redwoods.

One time a wild diplo saved me, so I was trying to slay a dilo, and the dilo was trying to eat me, and behind me was the wild diplo, it then pushed the dilo away(it yeeted me a little) and eventually the dilo lost interest. ^ if you think diplos have a solid gold heart.

If somebody says knock it out DON'T. It won't attack you but this thing has mega health so you'll be wasting your stones or arrows it's a passive tame it takes a while but it's worth it!
