What are tips for diplodocus? Tips and strategies for diplodocus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
These are good to kill for xp since they just knock you back
To make the taming process less infuriating in case you don't like flying around, do as follows:
1. Lure it to open terrain
2. Feed it - it will then stand still feeding for a short time
3. Position yourself right left of its front left leg
4. Don't move and enjoy being push around by the leg while it tries to reach you with its head.
5. After the initial feed you wait 5-15 minutes for it to become hungry again. After that this interval is reduced to 1 minute. You can now feed it every 1 minute with mejoberries until tamed
So that creature is not for PvP but good for travel with friends and he could carry so much weight if they rework it then PLEASE LET IT HAVE AN STRONG ATTACK AND A USE NOT JUST FOR TRAVEL any way to team it I will recommend using tranqs he has high torpor but you won’t just be waiting hours to tame just tranq and go
These are very useful creatures, both as wild and tamed
In the wild they are very accessible sources of sauropod vertebrae, easy prime meat and normal meat
They are very useful as mid game mounts because they have a large weight and a fast movement speed
They also are good gatherers
You can also carry 11 people on the saddle but that’s not very useful
Finally on Mobile there is a daily quest that requires taming one of them so just tame one and keep it in a corner
The only problems is that you can learn the engram quite late, but if you find one in a drop it’s not a problem
They are a pain to tame but the process is quite easy, just take some berries and afk for a while
Also they are quite defenceless so make sure you outrun / avoid dangerous creatures (any predators in general, including dilos)
I finally got to taming one of these good bois. I have constructed an L-shaped home and lured one until I got cornered. Tamed my good boi Dippy by feeding him berries and though he always tried smacking me into oblivion, he can’t because I got my back against the house. Just a tip ao you won’t see yourself flying!
Just stay under a rock so it can’t hit you away and just feed it the berry’s that they tell you to use I used this to tame mine
People think the diplodocus is useless, but it has some uses. Here is a guide to it! #1. The Diplodocus is found in the Redwoods, and I think some beaches. It will not hurt you, but will knock you back far. They are a passive tame, but will take forever to tame, so be patient. #2. The diplodocus is fast when tamed, and can push enemies away. Their saddle might not be great for single player, but on multiplayer, it can transport up to 10 people. You can transport others to battlefields. #3. It can not damage when tamed, but is still useful. This is my guide to the diplodocus, and I hope you think different about it! Signed, Pickle844Luvr P.S. I am sorry I didn’t have much to say about it.
If you don't have a ghille suit, build one foundation and place 3 walls around you and leave an opening, get it to come at you and run to the box. He will stay there with you forever trying to push you in your box, then just walk forward and check if he needs feeding
Scary face but 0% melee damage 😬
U can also knock out tame these guys which saves a ton of time
Tip for mobile players:
If you need them for their eggs, which can be used for allosaurus kibble, they can be found in plentiful numbers on the hills surrounding the red obelisk where the olive trees are.
I just tamed it 😂 by feeding tintoberries. Much easy to tame but took 30 min approx🏴☠️✌️ . But yeah no use in attacking with other dino
