When you’re going to tame one, you have to remember to look for DESMODUS, NOT ONYC. It can be really annoying when u find a cave, got to tame desmodus and an onyc picks you up. Don’t be as stupid as me

In fjordur, desmodus caves are full of fjordhawk, which are ready to steal your bag if you die. Desmodus when tamed drops you indifferently from how high you are.

So, if you care about your mental health, BRING A PARACHUTE

Could be tamed like the bloodstalker

A very easy tame and a good flyer. Best for harvesting rotten meat and blood packs.

Spawn:

They spawn in caves in Fjordur. Usually in groups

Taming requirements:

1) Blood packs x50 ( the more the better, I carry more than 100 )

2) Shotgun ( makkees it easy to. Shoot mid air )

3) full flak armor

4) Parachutes x10

Taming:

As. They are passive tame u cannot knock them out. Just wear full flak armor remember to carry a shotgun with enough ammo and 5-10 parachutes

Keep around a 100 blood packs. I carry 400 just in case.

By encountering them they will come rushing at you for your blood and pick u and fly up. Remember to keep the blood packs on your " 0 " slot. Usually the low level ones come at you first , this is where the shotgun comes handy , if the level is not to your. Liking just gun it down and. Use parachute to land safely. They do little to noo damage when you're wearing flak. If you're low on health just drink a blood pack.

If the level is to your liking just let it carry you around

And it will drink blood from the packs by itself.

A tribe mate supporting you will make the Tamee more. Easy as they can kill all the. Other unwanted blood suckers.

They will drop you a few times and u parachute down and just run without holding the shift key

They will pick you up again. Continue this and congratulations you have your blood pack harvester.

so yes,you can raise these amazing creatures off of meat and blood packs make sure to use both !!! Alot of it ,But i will say Even on 3x xp events it is a VERY LONG PROCESS !!!

Use leveled up pigs to tame, much better than moschops! I used 3 tamed pigs, while I rode a stego (hardened plates to prevent being picked up), whistled them around for the desmodus to pick them up. It took a few minutes, but eventually got taking effectiveness to 100%. Then I put pigs away, let desmodus pick me up with blood packs in my 0 bar. Worked like a charm!

Before taming, equip an elixir in your hot bar. As the Desmo attacks you, spam the elixir until you drink it. This will give you the 30% taming increase! Works with shine horns too!

Bro these are practically early game

Tame 2 moscops of opposite genders.

Breed them

Tame lystro to level their health

Drain blood like CRAAAAAZZZZZZYYYYYY

them use low level desmodus to get a bunch of blood and repeat the steps for a higher level

Demos are just bigger onycs that you can ride

If you don't have blood packs it can still take from ur base heath

Feed these boys moschops do get up their taming effectiveness

Not sure if this is a thing or just weird coincidence, but when I tamed mine it seemed to gain efficiency faster from tames at night than it did during the day, as well as taming faster at night too.

If anyone could confirm this that’d be awesome, I may have just had some weird stuff work in my favor.

They spawn in large groups. If you don’t wanna get passed around on a compromising way, Like them out of the cave. Have at least a one by structure with a bed close by, fast travel, kite them outside the cave, die, respawn, pick the one you want, tame it. Be sure to have parachutes and plenty of blood packs. Tamed mine without ever hitting the ground after first pick up.

This is what I've done to tame these

1. Get at least 300 blood packs and drag them into your "0" slot.

2. Make some parachutes. For me they flew up and dropped me so chutes were a must.

3. They are around 7 to 10 second intervals so be patient and stay alert for other threats.

Other than that they're pretty easy tames I would recommend getting a low level first so and farming blood packs with that low level. If you attack other dinos it will give you blood packs if you kill it you will get spoiled meat and raw meat.

Put bloodpack in your last slot and let it grab you .

You migth have to kill the other bat around first.

VERY similar to bloodstalker. Have it pick you while blood bags are in your inventory and you should be good to go. Using other dinos (moschops are recommended) with blood bags in their inventories will work as well

To tame desmodus take snow owl and go to waterfal cave,take srynge then take blood,then heal with snow owl and after 20 blood,go in cave with spyglass and look for low level,tame it,and attack other creatures to get blood packs then go again in watrtfall cave and tame bigger level one

When you are using blood packs to tame it use a snow owl to heal you

If you want a high level Desmo, tame a little dino like a moshop and leave him in passive next to a Desmo for it to pick it. Do it some time and it's your turn to be picked

Always take much more blood packs so if some else desmosus attatck you it will eat blood packs and not you.
