Easy taming :

1) Use med brew to heal yourself while you extract blood packs with a blood extraction syringe. About 100 is fine.

2) Agro bats and run away. Wait until a lower level one gets left alone.

3) Get your best armour and clear the area. Put blood packs in your last slot and let the bat pick you. Don't struggle, just stay still.

4) After taming, use it to gather blood packs. Then tame a Higher level bat.

One of the comments suggest using snow owl to get blood for first one. Not bad, but every time you heal using owl, it’ll go through your meat. If you can make med brew.

Get a good pteranodon, build a trap made of double doorways and a gate in the front, use the pteranodon to lure the bats into the trap(Pteranodons can fit through double doorways but bats can’t) net gun all the bats, close the gate, kill the low level bats, then tame the one you want.

They pick you up and eat blood packs out your inventory

Easy not try hard taming: Put blood packs in your inventory, and multiple parachute. Let it grab YOU, after a little it'll drop you, parachute down. Repeat, easy. These comments make you think it's hard, it's not.

Tame a bad level first than tame high level with the blood packs that it gives you

Bring BLOODPACKS to tame :)

Not CRAZY hard to tame, but still hard

All you need is:

About 300 bloodpacks (Probably overkill)

A daedon (leveled in health, also put 100 bloodpacks in its inventory)

An andrewsarchus (idk if you need a saddle or no, but this will be your shelter)

Keep the remaining 200 bloodpacks in your inventory, and find your bat and set up camp. Send out your daedon by the bat. MAKE SURE EVERYTHING NEARBY IS PASSIVE. Go run under your daedon and wait for the bat to attack and pick up your pig. This will boost its effectiveness. After that, let him pick YOU up. This will tame the creature. Rinse and repeat

You can do it with no blood packs but you need a crap ton of med brews

As others have stated. It takes a gd year to hit 100%. Your better off quantity over quality when looking for good states. Treat em like deins. Eventually you'll get decent stats. Honestly. Just quick tame all high levels and combine em when you get high rolls.

Easy tame, Ride on andrewsarchus and shoot with fab or longneck, get it to attack high hp moschops and then run under it with blood packs. Great flyer on day 2. Tamed 3 in under 30mins.

A really cool idea for the Desmodus (since it's a vampire bat) is basically give it blood offerings by giving it unconcious dinos to feed onto... or yourself if you're brave enough. The bigger the dino, the faster/better the tame. ALSO I second the petition to make this the cryopod icon, most definitely!

Bring parachute it will drop you

As of right now on Tuesday 6/14/22 they use less blood packs then the taming calculator says, I would still bring more then needed though about 80/120 blood packs for 130-150 tames, once you tame one just using basic right trigger atacks on wild dinos will get you blood packs back for more desmodus tames!

If you carry enough blood pack you will accidentally tame them all. lol guess ive got an army now.

Desmodus, along with any fjordur and lost isles exclusives are not on the switch edition despite their saddle being unlockable, spawn commands don’t seem to work to spawn them either.

I love the design on this the Desmondus it has an echo location ability and can turn invisible in the night. It should be able to pick creatures up. I’m very excited for its release
