A Deathworm is actually quite nice. It may use its horrifying name and appearance to repel would be predators but when it comes out of the ground pet it and feed it Sand. Yup. It eats sand. However, you must feed sand within 5 seconds or taming will restart. It seems to be useful at the end of early game, start of midgame, saddle crafted at lvl 30 with 20 hide 15 wood and 60 stone

Best beginner tame out there. This little cute wormy boi is a peaceful tame. As soon as it come out of the ground, just pet it like it was a hyaenadon. It insta tames. I love casually using these as a shoulder pet!
