For kill one of these i use a good Sword with 400% damage and a wooden Shield with 4000 of durabilité because the wooden Shield can be repaired anytime and anywhere but watch out when he hors out if the grownd use the shield
More Deathworm Taming & KO Tips

it be better for this guy to be tamed
When you fight the worm make sure you use a oil jar and set it on fire when it chases you.
I know how to tame it but how to ride it is the real question
I don't know if anyone said this already BUT if you Forcetame the deathworm on single player or something, it eats meat! In order for the death worm to get out from the ground, you need to first, locate where it's at then step either on or around the worm and it'll come out.
I KNOW HOW TO TAME A DEATHWORM!! Make sure you have a lot of ForceTame cheat on you and your good! DESTROY YOUR ENEMIES IN BATTLE!!
Tame a 100+ megatherium and enrage is by attacking creatures that give you chitin. This will give you a damage boost and a damage resistance boost. Level up melee and you will easily be able to kill a death worm
