Deathworms cannot be tamed or ridden through normal gameplay, so knockout methods, torpor, and narcotics are ineffective. They are dangerous desert creatures worth hunting for valuable loot and substantial experience, but require strong combat creatures and careful preparation. Watch for disturbed sand and use an insect-buffed Megatherium or another powerful tame, while keeping your distance with a flyer or using flaming oil jars and other defensive tactics.
