Despite its name and size, the Deathworm is actually incredibly pathetic and aside from taking a while to kill, is really easy to beat, even a decently HP and Melee invested Raptor can kill one with minimal health loss.

While boasting a terrifying HP pool and impressive damage per hit, the Deathworm is plagued by a slow attack rate (thus low DPS), massive hitbox and will always spawn at lvl 1, making Deathworms especially weak on max difficulty servers where you can tame lvl 150 dinos (over lvl 200 with 100% efficiency) and beat the absolute crap out of the poor sand noodle.

The real challenge is actually finding one because they are incredibly scarce in the dunes, even worse if they aren’t able to locate a player or even so much as lose track of a player, they will despawn thus meaning you have to go and search for another Deathworm to hunt.

I would suggest useing fire arrows...I was on creative though.

Use an high lvl rex and they all gone

I came within render of one on scorched and the dune it was in clipped invisible real quick showing the worm inside. First of all, it was huge and looked like a grub, second, I turned around on my moth and got the heck out of there.

To the person that said you can't see where creatures are: if you go to maps you can see the creature map of any official map you want.

Megatherium lvl 135, pump health until 10k rest into melee. Got your self the Hunter of the sands

While megatheriums and rezes are good to fight them, I’d say wyverns are the best, I would recommend blood wyverns because they’re easy to get while being silly strong for how early game you can get them, but of course, don’t take this as fact and fight them how you want

On the Ragnarok map, they spawn only in the northern part of the sand dunes to the east of the major river splitting the sand biome

These Guys Spawn in the manticore boss fight and that why the appear under bosses hash tag

When your looking for these guys you can go into k mode, or on consoles orbital camera and zoom out underground then you can actually see them in the ground. Just a helpful tip but it is kinda cheaty.

Don’t go into the desert until you either have a 300% damage pump shotgun, or a good dino/s

Use a managarmr great for burst damage and getting away. Also they can freeze it for a couple of seconds wich can let you put some hits in or get some breathing room. Just make sure it has plenty of health about 10k-15k. Have fun

Just use velonosaurus to kill little worms. When you go down on the arena take ur best rex/giga and kill the biggy one.

Have a good thyla and you should be good to go

Just have a good sniper or shotgun and a something with good health to distract it, but on passive and shoot it till it falls onto the floor, it is great experience

I say just bring a wyvern or two and you should be fine.

Use a megatherium, kill a bug, then kill the worm. My megatherium can take on two or three at a time and lose very little health. Also can solo the alpha.

Knockout for easy kill, just bring 20 tranqs and a crossbow, a level 150 has 1000 torpor so its easy to knock out, then kill it whilst it's asleep.
