~A Game of Survival~

Lia’s family had always struggled financially. They had enough to rent a small house, buy clothes and food as well as cleaning supplies and other necessities but didn’t get to go anywhere nice because of this lack of money. She wished she could change it, but she couldn’t find any jobs that would accept her so she could help pay for everything.

The jobs she applied for said she either didn’t have enough experience or she was too young to do the required things even if it wasn’t true. This had forced her into a low paying, part time job as a babysitter. She got 5 dollars and hour for children ages 1-4 and 3 dollars an hour for children 5 and up. Even though it was low paying it was still something, and she couldn’t just watch as the rest of her family struggled to pay for everything.
