they are monsters. they are rare so get ready to search the ocean with your itchy. use compound bow. (ascendent+) and shoot it while it’s chasing you. shoot and continue going fast. remember they are buffer then giga rex. continue shooting with the bow. if it breaks swim super far. and repair. MAYBE you will have enough time to do that. it will probably take 1000+ METAL. (not reg)l arrows. it will follow you across the map at all costs. and when you kill it claim your desired 10xp. thats how to hunt em monsters of the water.
Me and my friend were playing together walking back to base. I said go to the base and do something I see DINNER so I came back with a coel at 3.4 and he said I thought you killed a dilo orsomething not the fattest fish yet. We still joke about that day
The absolute most powerfull sea dwelling animals, can one shot megs and destroy entire packs of piranhas. To tame, you will need at the VERY LEAST a level 200 quetz with loads and loads of points on weight, a quetz platform saddle, at least 45 cannons and a minimum of 300 cannon balls. Due to its long ranged tsunami attack, you will have to fire your cannons from very far away, make sure you never lose sight of the Coelacanth. The knock out part usually takes about 2-3 hours, the taming will take around 12-13. You will have to feed the coelacanth tames, 1 tamed giga sacrifice will increase its taming meter by 0.1%, and you will have to wait 10 minutes for the next sacrifice to come. Do this over and over and over and you have yourself a tame Coelacanth.
Pretty much unstoppable with an asc saddle. Can harvest metal, has very high weight and movement speed. They're very large and take wide turns. Can slither on land for short distances before taking damage due to suffocation. Sometimes can be seen flying through the air during lag. Can be passive tamed with phiomia eggs but be careful as they are very powerful.
