If you fish these with sap/leech blood, you can get alot of things. Fish, leech blood, metal, iron ingots, angler gel, hide, keratin, rare flowers and mushrooms, obsidian, prime meat and fish, silica perils, organic polymers, then plenty more! Fishing will be something you want to do. I recommend alot of rods premade, get a seprate base just for sap collection, andddd ofc a raft full of chairs.

In aboration you can tame it with a fishing basket. There is actually a good use. This is finally a water creature that can do the classic, strap c4, attack, boom.
Personally, I just want to be able to catch the small ones and raise them in a pond structure like Koi but who knows. Great way to get EXP if youβve got a wide hitting tame like a spino! - Survivor Belle

I think people forget it is actually pronounced seel-oh-canth and that they are not extinct in real life.
Unlike the other creatures in the game, this fish here is actually meant to resemble a variety of different species and subspecies. This is why they come in a huge variety of colors and sizes. Also the bigger fish do give more meat, and may give more prime fish when killed by the correct creature. They can sometimes cause lag due to how many of them spawn, these tasty fish spawn in the hundreds
