ARK: Survival Evolved & Ascended Companion
Tips & Strategies
Was riding my trusty Baryonix, my bro came everywhere with me. Cleared lands, cleared caves, destroyed dinos far bigger and better than it. The best.
Then I had a lack of judgement.
Went to get some black pearls. Basically wiped out the ocean of other creatures, destroyed about 5 alpha sharks and hopped off to gather. Turned around to see a single jellyfish that I swear wasn't there before approach the baryonx. I checked about 6 times before dismounting, I knew it wasn't there. I tried to save him though I knew it was too late.
My survivor woke up in bed as I just watched the screen knowing that despite being set to flee combat, it was only a matter of time until I got a notification on screen telling me that my main man had been drained of 6k health in a single stunlock and passed away.
These mother f's are the most ridiculous, over powered and pure awful creature not just in Ark, but in any game. How have they not been nerfed so that you don't lose basically any dino other than the Basi to even one jellyfish with a stunlock of death?
More Cnidaria Encountering Tips
If a cnidaria killed my spino, boy i would be mad. i lost my sarco to cnidarias, a scare with my icthy with cnidarias, and almost got my megalceros killed by some. ( he is dead now D:) I kill any of these that i can. The dossier says that they are passive, but aggresive when approched, NO! as soon as i step in the water these attack, and they litterally don't move at all, they just sit there and chill until you or a tame steps in the water. one like=one prayer for my deceased sarco, Gatorade (you can find his story in sarco) and one member of the cnidaria hate club.
Up this if you hate cnidarias I lost my spino to three of these in an instant
wish you to go extinct and live in hell
This is the kind of creature I'd happily hunt to extinction...

Real story π 1 π = 1 R.I.P for chaos , grim and nebula πππ
Iβve lost so many tames to these. They need to be fixed to where they donβt kill everything that touches the water excepting the basilosaurus. Logically, how does this dumb blue jellyfish kill spinos, mosas, plesios, and any apex predator that comes near? Just voicing my thoughtsβ¦ hit the arrows if Iβm not the only one who thinks this needs to change.
i threw a spear at a group of these guys, then my sarco went to kill them and I watched in horror as she flew through the air dead, now all I do is kill every last one of these guys
Admit it. if you're reading this you definitely lost at least a dino or two to these guys.
If you are reading this it seems your underwater adventure came to a shocking conclusion.
I think that the devs need to reconsider some of the creatures in ark. With the jellies and electrophorus, it's too much. Especially on fjordur. There are hundreds of eels EVERYWHERE in the shallows! I don't mean reconsider as removal, but they need to be nerfed. No person I know tames mosas, plessies, or dunkies anymore because of those two creatures. They've made a lot of ocean creatures irrelevant. My first water creature is always a basilo. And that's all I need, because what's the point of anything else.
