What is a chalicotherium used for? chalicotherium battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Very good for the caves good knockback and can throw rocks tons of bugs throw a rock at it megalo making you worry don't worry throw a rock at it and just in case any creatures getting too close that's what knockback is there for is there anything in the caves this guy can't handle
Completely underrated as a beginner tame!As soon as you can unlock the beer barrel do it and get some berries in it. Go out on something like a raptor preferably but you can do it on foot.they spawn pretty much everywhere but are kinda rare. Ghille is not needed but preferred. Once it's tamed they are beasts. Get It to 10000 health then melee. Can kill alpha raptors and probably apha carnos. Just not alpha rexs or gigas. Decently fast too.
One of the best cave mounts out there, if you have the patience to breed it and bring the baby inside, shines out in the Swamp Cave.
Small enough to fit into most tunnels, large enough to avoid most Arthropleura spits hitting its rider, boulder trown deals damage to Arthropleuras (and Kentrossaurus alike) without receiving anything back, has a much larger AoE to its melee attacks than its own size, deals tons of knockback with its melee and none with the boulder throw, and having both a third attack (default "C" on PC) and the ability to let its rider use weapons it allows the use of both firearms and its melee attack at once.
Chalies are very overpowered as a tank seeing as they can equip saddles and helmets (you can get 300 armor saddle and a 1k armor flak helm for a total of 1.3k armor) as well as having decent health that is easily upgraded through leveling or breeding also whilst taking for your other tames they are able to deal good melee damage as well as a ranged attack so 100% recommended tame
