Encountering Tips

How do I kill a chalicotherium? chalicotherium encountering and battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Oh HELL. This thing is scary. When it comes to this game, I am a wimp. You see, I tried to tame it with stimberries, but a bit after I fed it the first Berry, this jerk turned around and attacked me! So I did the smart thing. I RAN. I ran home, and somehow managed to survive. These things are BRUTES.
THEY DONT THROW POOP ITS MUD IN THE SNOW THEY WILL THROW THE SNOW IT JUST GETS IN UR EYES AND SLOWS U DOWN BECAUSE U CANT SEE DONT LISTEN TO THE POOP THEORY
Quick explanation for the chalico's attacks:
Melee attack #1: The chalico swipes at you with its claws for 36 damage
Melee attack #2: The chalico headbutts/bites you for 32 damage
The chalico will also repeatedly use these 2 melee attacks in alternating order
Mud throw: The chalico scoops mud or snow if you are in a snowy area from the ground then throws it at you and if it hits you it does 10 damage then gives you an effect that decreases your health and increases your torpidity and prevents any heals from working until the effect wears off
Rock throw: The chalico picks up a boulder that it spawned from thin air then throws it (tamed chalicos only can use this) and if it hits a living creature it will deal 100 damage, this attack can also damage stone at a 1x multiplier so it will do 100 damage.
THE FIRST RULE IS DONT GET CLOSE IT WILL BECOME VERY HOSTILE
So me and my friend have been surviving on this one server for about 2 weeks and we are around lvl 42. We currently live on a raft we each have a rapter and we are thinking about moving in land ever heard a grown man scream at a high pitch? While scouting for a new base location we came across a lvl 150 of these. My freind aproched it and we was still at a fair distance away from it but it was already agrod. This things melee has so much range! I shot it but it had tones of health so we ran back to the raft closed the door and stayed there for a few hours.
If you’re low level stay away from these things!
Up this plz so people can see
these pricks yeet balls of dirt at you from any range it can see you at, it will knock you out it if throws enough at you, very, very dangerous to new players, I had 5 spears and a bow and I died to this thing when I was level 12, I never got my stuff back because every time I got there he would throw the dirt at me
Anyone low lev don't go near these beasts the have a dirt or mud ball attack that blinds you an they are strong and you takes aren't safe either
These things attack you if you cross their path
These thing are so damn powerful, and they are kind of common is beaches and even more in forests, also, usually you will find a pair of them, I suggest you to avoid them at all costs since they are fast also and can throw rocks/poop and at least bring 2 similar level rexes to wipe them
Are these dangerous I see them all the time
When wild they throw poop, when tamed they throw boulders.. when sitting I believe their health goes up faster but food drains more.. NEVER have a baby sit unless you want it dead
When you want to tame them put beer in inventory bar and slowly crouch behind him don't get very close or it will kill you I tried taking one, I successfully tamed it but it killed me several times
I saw it once and it wanted beer from me. It was drunk so it attacked me.
Rock-chucking donkey horse thing that likes personal space more than even a therizino. It even comes in packs. New players beware, this guy does not give free hugs.
So when I was a newbie who still took all my Dino’s everywhere I went I ran into 4 of these guys and they threw poop at me and stunned me then they slaughtered all of my Dino’s including 4 raptors and 2 trikes
The best place to find calicoes on the center is the blue obelisk island
Help I just saw one of them in my base pls help it's getting closer I'm gonna die
If u see one and ur new run as fast as u can
Saw this dude in the swap must say their good at causing terf wars.
Sorry to hear that, R.I.P Goldie 😿
